Abstract Background: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a highly prevalent psychological disorder with frequent distribution among the general population and in primary care configurations. GAD-5 one of many present scales little research on, but has potential to orient clinical decisions due its unique features. Validating simple cost-effective tool assess GAD Arabic-speaking population, primarily residing Middle-East North-Africa (MENA) region, would be beneficial. The study aimed translate into Arabic evaluate psychometric properties, including internal reliability, sex invariance, composite correlation measure distress. Methods: A total 629 adults were recruited May 2023. A self-administered anonymous survey was distributed through social media using Google Forms link. We used SPSS AMOS software v.28 conduct confirmatory factor analysis scale. Results: The fit indices deriving from indicated that one-factor model items acceptable. convergent validity for this consistency scale good. Configural, metric, scalar invariance supported across sex. higher mean anxiety score seen females compared males. Higher scores significantly associated anxiety, depression stress as measured by Depression, Stress 8 (DASS-8) scale, showing concurrent validity. Conclusion: Our findings confirmed briefness, reliability version which support employment screening population. Considering these results, we advise it therapeutic motives individuals.

Abstract Background Pain is a frequent symptom in cancer patients (CP), and its multidimensional assessment essential for comprehensive approach to establish clinical prognoses. The Short-Form McGill Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) an internationally recognized tool the of pain, both research settings. However, no studies have been reported Latin America that determine psychometric properties CP chronic pain. Objectives To SF-MPQ adult Mexican with Methods An instrumental design was used non-probabilistic convenience sample 222 treated at pain clinic tertiary care hospital. Analyses were conducted evaluate factorial structure (exploratory confirmatory factor analysis [CFA]), reliability (internal consistency), measurement invariance, criterion validity (concurrent divergent). Results CFA verified 9-item divided into 2 factors: (1) Affective-Nociceptive (2) Neuropathic. A global Cronbach’s alpha coefficient .82 McDonald’s Omega index identified. Configural, metric, scalar invariance (ΔCFI ≤ .01; ΔRMSEA .015) confirmed regarding sex variable. Finally, showed positive correlation Numerical Rating Scale (rho = .436, p < .01) negative EORTC-QLQ C30 −.396, .01).
