Abstract Monkeypox (mpox), a viral zoonotic disease, is spreading worldwide. However, evidence that informs prevention and control strategies in the Asia Pacific Region very limited. Our study aims to investigate experiences of mpox patients from infection treatment provide scientific basis for control. A multicenter qualitative design was used. total 15 were recruited between July 6 25, 2023, six cities China. Semistructured interviews conducted by telephone analyzed using thematic analysis. The interview divided into two sections: patients' (prediagnosis experience, treatment‐seeking quarantine experience) advice. Prediagnosis experience summarized three themes: symptoms, possible routes infection, knowledge mpox. Treatment‐seeking time visit hospital, diagnostic difficulties, attitude toward diagnosis. Quarantine body mind reactions, reluctance self‐disclose status, factors facilitating recovery. Themes identified advice as follows: (1) Increase testing channels methods, (2) Development introduction vaccines, (3) Adjustment program, (4) Improvement measures, (5) publicity education. To effectively curb epidemic, structured measures are urgently needed address mpox‐related stigma discrimination. Targeted health education should be provided MSM, focusing on prevention, detection, services. Hospitals enhance training clinicians key departments including infectious disease dermatology, improve capability sensitivity. Furthermore, given absence specific antiviral medications, supervised home may good option.

People with HIV (PWH) are disproportionally affected by mpox and at risk of severe complications. We assessed knowledge, adoption preventive behaviors, vaccination attitudes among PWH enrolled in a longitudinal cohort Washington, DC, the DC Cohort. conducted uni- multivariable analyses comparing participants status group, multinomial regression to identify factors associated vaccine acceptance. Among 430 PWH, 378 (87.9%) were aware mpox. 373 data, 101 (27.1%) vaccinated, 129 (34.6%) planned vaccinate, 143 (38.3%) did not plan vaccinate. The three groups differed significantly age, race, education, recent STI status, level worry (all p < 0.05).
