Background

There
is
significant
literature
related
to
companion
animal
attachment
and
depression,
but
date,
there
has
not
been
a
systematic
review
of
it.
The
aims
this
were
threefold:
(1)
compare
depression
outcomes
between
pet
non-pet
owners;
(2)
identify
the
prevalence

operationalized

human–pet
relationships

in
two
distinct,
divergent
