Salinity,
one
of
the
major
abiotic
stresses
in
plants,
significantly
hampers
germination,
photosynthesis,
biomass
production,
nutrient
balance,
and
yield
staple
crops.
To
mitigate
impact
such
stress
without
compromising
quality,
sustainable
agronomic
practices
are
required.
Among
these
practices,
seaweed
extracts
(SWEs)
microbial
biostimulants
(PGRBs)
have
emerged
as
important
categories
plant
(PBs).
This
research
aimed
at
elucidating
effects
on
growth,
yield,
status
two
Greek
tomato
landraces
(‘Tomataki’
‘Thessaloniki’)
following
treatments
with
Ascophyllum
nodosum
extract
‘Algastar’
PGPB
‘Nitrostim’
formulation.
Plants
were
subjected
to
bi-weekly
applications
supplied
solutions:
0.5
mM
(control)
30
NaCl.
The
results
revealed
that
different
mode(s)
action
PBs
impacted
tolerance
landraces,
since
‘Tomataki’
was
benefited
only
from
SWE
application
while
‘Thessaloniki’
showed
significant
increase
fruit
numbers
average
weight
both
NaCl
root
zone.
In
conclusion,
induced
by
salinity
can
be
mitigated
increasing
through
PBs,
a
tool
for
productivity
enhancement,
which
aligns
well
strategy
European
Green
Deal.

Plant
biostimulants
are
used
to
promote
plant
growth
by
increasing
tolerance
abiotic
stressors
and
improving
the
efficiency
of
natural
resource
use.
In
present
two-year
research
(2022–2023
2023–2024),
effects
biostimulant
foliar
applications
on
morphological
parameters,
fresh
dry
yields,
antioxidant
capacity,
total
phenolic
content,
chemical
composition
essential
oil
thyme
(Thymus
vulgaris
L.)
were
studied.
For
this
purpose,
four
commercial
biostimulants,
Biostimol
Plus
+
Peptamin-V
Plus®,
Acadian
MPE®,
Megafol®,
BlueN®,
evaluated
cultivated
in
field
conditions.
The
experiment
was
laid
out
a
randomized
block
design
with
five
treatments
three
replications.
During
second
growing
season,
plants
treated
composed
bacteria
Methylobacterium
symbioticum
SB23,
showed
highest
weight
(152.1
g
plant−1),
biomass
yield
(501.9
m−2),
(172.2
m−2).
BlueN®
that
also
obtained
both
years
(0.47
0.53%),
for
all
amount
thymol
carvacrol
increased
year,
especially
Megafol®

technologies

salt
tolerance
crops.
It
highlights
critical
genes
involved

homeostasis,

adjustment,
signaling
pathways,

contribute

conditions.
Additionally,

TF
families,
such
as
DREB,

ATAF,

WRKY,
explored
their
roles

salt-responsive

networks.
By
leveraging

provides

adaptive

extract
