This study investigated the application of high-resolution satellite imagery from SuperDove satellites combined with machine learning algorithms to estimate spatiotemporal variability some winter wheat parameters, including relative leaf chlorophyll content (RCC), water (RWC), and aboveground dry matter (DM). The research was carried out within an experimental field in Southern Italy during 2024 growing season. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a crucial cereal crop, contributing around 20% of global caloric intake. However, challenges such as diminishing arable land, water shortages, and climate change threaten wheat production, making yield enhancement for food security. The heading date (HD) critical factor influencing wheat’s growth cycle, harvest timing, adaptability, yield. Understanding the genetic determinants HD essential developing high-yield stable varieties. This study used doubled haploid (DH) population from cross between Jinmai 47 84. QTL analysis was performed under three phosphorus (P) treatments (low, medium, normal) across six environments, using Wheat15K high-density SNP technology. identified 39 QTLs HD, distributed ten chromosomes, accounting 2.39% to 29.52% phenotypic variance. Notably, five major (Qhd.saw-3A.7, Qhd.saw-3A.8, Qhd.saw-3A.9, Qhd.saw-4A.4, Qhd.saw-4D.3) were consistently detected varying P conditions. additive effects these showed that favorable alleles significantly delayed HD. There clear trend increasing delay number increased. Among them, Qhd.saw-4D.3 novel with no prior reports QTLs/genes in their respective intervals. Candidate gene highlighted seven highly expressed genes related Ca2+ transport, hormone signaling, glycosylation, zinc finger proteins, likely involved regulation. research elucidates basis stress, providing insights breeding high-yield, varieties suited low-P environments.
