This study explores the bioactive potential of young shoots from blackcurrant, European blueberry, and mountain cranberry, widely employed in gemmotherapy phytotherapy, as rich sources antioxidants, antimicrobial agents, anti-inflammatory components. The primary aims this were to enhance extraction conditions for compounds blackcurrant using Modde software experimental design, conduct a comprehensive phytochemical analysis cranberry shoot extracts through LC–MS analysis, evaluate vitro biological activities these optimized extracts. design comprised multiple variables: techniques, solvent type, time, apparent pH, solvent-to-vegetal product ratio. responses included total phenolic content, flavonoid condensed tannin antioxidant activity determined DPPH assay. Furthermore, was validated cell culture experiments, addition cytotoxicity assessments conducted on both normal cancer lines. Extracts obtained Ultra-Turrax 70% acetone displayed high levels polyphenolic enhanced potential, regardless origin. revealed predominant occurrence chlorogenic acid, hyperoside, isoquercitrin all examined samples. also significant when evaluated These results provide valuable insights into potent components present extracts, paving way further exploration therapeutic applications.

Foeniculum vulgare is a perennial aromatic plant whose cultivation produces large amounts of waste rich in bioactive compounds with promising anti-inflammatory activities. Nine selected metabolites were quantified through Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) hyphenated to QTRAP mass spectrometry by using MRM (multiple reaction monitoring) was performed on four parts fennel: bulb, stem, little and leaf. Analysis revealed significant differences the amount metabolites, suggesting that stem leaf are most valuable waste. Phenolic acids glycosylated flavonoids for their known possible activities; fact, due this reason ability inhibit COX-1 COX-2 isoforms evaluated fluorometric assay, resulting specific inhibitors at certain concentrations. In conclusion, as fennel may be beneficial human health, clinical studies should include it nutraceuticals or functional foods consumption.

One of the objectives this study consists assessment antitumor activity several extracts from three selected plant species: Xanthium spinosum L., Trifolium pratense and Coffea arabica L. also a comparative biological activity, with aim establishing superior herbal extract for benefits. The phytochemical profile was established by HPLC-MS analysis. Further, were screened in vitro their antioxidant potential on two cancer cell lines: A549—human lung adenocarcinoma T47D-KBluc—human breast carcinoma normal cells. per vivo an Ehrlich ascites mouse model. presented high content compounds such as caffeoylquinic acids case X. (7.22 µg/mL—xanthatin, 4.611 µg/mL—4-O-caffeoylquinic acid) green coffee beans (10.008 µg/mL—cafestol, 265.507 acid), well isoflavones T. (6806.60 ng/mL—ononin, 102.78 µg/mL—biochanin A). Concerning results, strongest anticancerous effects. In vivo, viability decreased after bean administration, whereas oxidative stress reduction important tumor samples Cell administration cyclophosphamide associated extracts, respectively. These results suggested that or combination chemotherapy can induce lipid peroxidation cells decrease especially, extract.

Green husks are the outer layer of walnut fruits. They form part agro-residues discarded away upon nut maturity in industry. Although it is not used, research studies show that green husk a rich source natural bioactive phytochemicals. A total 83 individual phenolic compounds were identified husks, mainly consisting naphthoquinones, flavonols, and hydroxycinnamic acids. There no standard profile walnuts; quantity quality vary by cultivar. Walnut extracts exhibit strong antioxidant activities play an important role plant’s defence mechanisms against diseases, attacking different plant organs. The study provides review content cultivars as documented studies. It also explores application various industries such traditional medicine, textile, wood, leather, beverage, agriculture. In addition, effects on biotic abiotic factors evaluated.
