Green tea polyphenols have numerous functions including antioxidation and modulation of various cellular proteins are thus beneficial against metabolic diseases obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases, their comorbidities. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the most abundant polyphenol in green attributed to antioxidant free radical scavenging activities, likelihood targeting multiple pathways. It has been shown exhibit anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-arteriosclerotic, weight-reducing effects humans. Worldwide, incidences escalating across all age groups modern society. Therefore, EGCG being increasingly investigated address problems. This review presents current updates on highlights evidence related its safety. Collectively, this brings more for therapeutic application further studies derivatives alleviate diseases.

Euphorbia ebracteolata Hayata (Euphorbiaceae family) is a perennial plant that widely distributed in Korea, Japan, and China. Its roots contain bioactive diterpenes have anti-inflammatory properties. However, the mechanisms are not yet fully understood. This study aimed to identify most active compound from of E. Hayata, using bioassay-guided fractionation combinative method high-speed countercurrent chromatography (HSCCC) preparative high-performance liquid (HPLC). Then, we investigated its mechanism lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. Ebractenoid F was identified as potent Hayata. significantly decreased nitric oxide (NO) production nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) activation induced by LPS Moreover, ebractenoid degradation inhibitory κB-α, translocation p65 p50 subunits NF-κB, expression NF-κB downstream genes. Furthermore, inhibited phosphorylation Akt mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), such extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) c-Jun NH2 terminal (JNK), LPS-stimulated cells. In conclusion, exerts effect suppressing NF-κB-mediated NO may be useful therapeutic for prevention or treatment inflammation-associated diseases.

This narrative review provides an analysis of the role nitric oxide (NO) and its precursors, particularly L-arginine, in vascular regulation health, with emphasis on findings from our experimental research animal models. NO serves as a critical mediator function, contributing to vasodilation, blood flow, prevention thrombosis. As primary precursor NO, L-arginine is essential for maintaining endothelial integrity, modulating mitochondrial reducing oxidative damage. synthesises data contextualises these within physiological challenges faced by donors, such repeated donation associated stress. It examines effects supplementation respiration, lipid peroxidation, microsomal oxidation different conditions, including differences age, gender, dietary interventions. The mechanisms which enhances production, improves elasticity, alleviates dysfunction caused reduced bioavailability are also investigated. By integrating insights existing literature, this perspective potential address specific needs donors. highlights importance personalised nutritional approaches enhancing donor recovery resilience. In addition, assesses wider implications mitigating stress preserving function. interplay between bioavailability, factors, adaptation donors highlighted, along identification current knowledge gaps recommendations future research. presenting both original evidence synthesis article therapeutic promoting health context donation.

ABSTRACT Mercuric chloride (HgCl 2 ) is extremely toxic to both humans and animals. It could be absorbed via ingestion, inhalation, skin contact. Exposure HgCl can cause severe health effects, including damages the gastrointestinal, respiratory, central nervous systems. The purpose of this work was explore if carvacrol (CRV) protect rats lungs from damage caused by . Intraperitoneal injections at a dose 1.23 mg/kg body weight were given either alone or in conjunction with oral CRV administration doses 25 50 for 7 days. study included biochemical histological techniques examine lung tissue's oxidative stress, apoptosis, inflammation, autophagy processes. ‐induced reductions GSH levels antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, GPx) activity enhanced co‐administration. Furthermore, MDA lowered CRV. inflammatory mediators NF‐κB, IκB, NLRP3, TNF‐α, IL‐1β, IL6, COX‐2, iNOS all reduced When exposed , apoptotic Bax, caspase‐3, Apaf1, p53, caspase‐6, caspase‐9 increased, but antiapoptotic Bcl‐2 after treatment. decreased Beclin‐1, LC3A, LC3B, which turn damage. After treatment, higher pathological observed terms alveolar septal thickening, congestion, edema, cell infiltration compared control group while ameliorated these effects. Consequently, preventing increases stress corresponding autophagy, disturbance tissue integrity tissues, might seen as useful therapeutic alternative.

Nao-an Dropping Pill (NADP) is a Chinese patent medicine which commonly used in clinic for ischemic stroke (IS). However, the material basis and mechanism of its prevention or treatment IS are unclear, then we carried out this study. 52 incoming blood components were resolved by UHPLC-MS/MS from rat serum, including 45 prototype components. The potential active hydroxysafflor yellow A, ginsenoside F1, quercetin, ferulic acid caffeic screened network pharmacology showed strongly binding ability with PIK3CA, AKT1, NOS3, NFE2L2 HMOX1 molecular docking. In vitro oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R) experimental results that NADP protected HA1800 cells OGD/R-induced apoptosis affecting release LDH, production NO, content SOD MDA. Meanwhile, could improve behavioral middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R) rats, reduce area cortex, decrease brain water glutamate (Glu) content, oxidative stress response. Immunohistochemical significantly regulated expression PI3K, Akt, p-Akt, eNOS, p-eNOS, Nrf2 HO-1 tissues. suggested protects tissues ameliorates damage to regulating PI3K/Akt/eNOS Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathways.
