Previous studies have shown that epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), the most abundant catechin in green tea, demonstrates promising antiobesity effects. While autophagy mediates obesity via preadipocyte differentiation and lipogenesis, EGCG's potential autophagy-dependent mechanism remains unclear. We used 3T3-L1 cells high-fat-diet (HFD)-fed mice to examine how EGCG inhibits adipogenesis lipogenesis autophagy. (50 or 100 mg/kg) significantly attenuated HFD-induced weight gain, fat accumulation, hyperlipidemia, glucose intolerance mice. It also enhanced lipolysis white adipose tissue (WAT). profoundly inhibited terminal lipid droplet formation accompanied by reduced PPARγ, C/EBPα, FASN expressions. Mechanistically, during early stage of differentiation, as evidenced increased autophagosome accumulation impaired autophagic flux. The antiadipogenic effect was further aggravated inhibitor chloroquine. Meanwhile, p38 AMPK/ACC phosphorylation while inhibiting JNK at an adipogenesis. Interestingly, expression lipolytic enzymes HSL ATGL, it decreased glycerol contents differentiated cells. These findings provide novel insights into using tea functional foods combat targeting lipolysis.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a major public health issue worldwide. It the most common in Western countries, andits global prevalence estimated to be up 35%. However, its diagnosis may elusive, because biopsy relatively rarely performed and usually only advanced stages of disease. Therefore, several non-invasive scores applied more easily diagnose monitor NAFLD. In this review, we discuss various biomarkers imaging that could useful diagnosing managing Despite fact general measures, such as abstinence from alcohol modulation other cardiovascular risk factors, should applied, mainstay prevention management weight loss. Bariatric surgery suggested means confront addition, pharmacological treatment with GLP-1 analogues or GIP agonist tirzepatide advisable. focus on utility agonists lowering body weight, their pharmaceutical potential, safety profile, already evidenced inanimal human studies. We also elaborate options, use vitamin E, probiotics, especially next-generation prebiotics context. Finally, explore future perspectives regarding administration analogues, agonists, probiotics/prebiotics prevent combat The newest drugs pegozafermin resmetiron, which seem very promising, arealso discussed.

The interplay between oxidative stress and adipogenesis is a critical factor in the development of obesity its associated metabolic disorders. Excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) disrupt key transcription factors such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein alpha (C/EBPα), impairing lipid metabolism, promoting adipocyte dysfunction, exacerbating inflammation insulin resistance. Antioxidants, classified endogenous (e.g., glutathione, superoxide dismutase, catalase) exogenous polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamins C E), are pivotal mitigating these effects by restoring redox balance preserving functionality. Endogenous antioxidants neutralize ROS safeguard cellular structures; however, under heightened stress, defenses often insufficient, necessitating dietary supplementation. Exogenous derived from plant-based sources, polyphenols vitamins, act through direct scavenging, upregulation antioxidant enzymes, modulation signaling pathways like nuclear kappa B (NF-κB) PPARγ, reducing peroxidation, inflammation, dysfunction. Furthermore, they influence epigenetic regulation transcriptional networks to restore differentiation limit accumulation. Antioxidant-rich diets, including Mediterranean diet, strongly with improved health, reduced rates, enhanced sensitivity. Advances personalized therapies, guided biomarkers supported novel delivery systems, present promising avenues for optimizing therapeutic interventions. This review, "Crosstalk Between Antioxidants Adipogenesis: Mechanistic Pathways Their Role Metabolic Health", highlights mechanistic which regulate enhance health.

In recent decades, following the spread of obesity, metabolic dysfunction has come to represent leading cause liver disease. The classical clinical presentation cirrhotic patient has, therefore, greatly changed, with a dramatic increase in subjects who appear overweight or obese. Due an obesogenic lifestyle (lack physical activity and overall malnutrition, excess caloric intake together deficit proteins micronutrients), these patients frequently develop complex condition defined as sarcopenic obesity (SO). interplay between cirrhosis SO lies sharing multiple pathogenetic mechanisms, including malnutrition/malabsorption, chronic inflammation, hyperammonemia insulin resistance. presence worsens outcome patients, affecting morbidity mortality. International nutrition diseases societies strongly agree on recommending use food integral part healing process comprehensive management reduction intake, protein micronutrient supplementation sodium restriction.
