Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by itching, epidermal barrier dysfunction, and an unbalanced reaction. AD pathophysiology involves dysregulated immune response driven T helper-2 cells. Many factors, including reactive oxygen species (ROS), are involved in pathogenesis causing cellular damage inflammation resulting dysfunction. This narrative review aims to provide comprehensive overview of the role natural molecules antioxidant compounds, highlighting their potential therapeutic value prevention management. They include vitamin D, E, pyridoxine, Vitamin C, carotenoids, melatonin. Some studies report statistically significant association between levels improvement AD, however, there conflicting results which supplementation, especially did not result AD. Therefore, clinical efficacy these dietary nutritional factors treatment needs be further evaluated trials. Meanwhile, antioxidants can incorporated into management patients personalized manner, tailored severity disease, comorbidities, individual needs.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects individuals of all age groups, manifesting as spectrum symptoms varying from mild to severe. Allergen immunotherapy (AIT) involves the administration allergen extracts and has emerged potential treatment strategy for modifying immune responses. Its pathogenesis epidermal barrier dysfunction, microbiome imbalance, dysregulation, environmental factors. Existing strategies encompass topical steroids systemic agents, while AIT under investigation immune-modifying alternative. Several studies have shown reductions in severity scoring atopic (SCORAD) scores, daily rescue medication use, visual analog scale (VAS) scores following AIT. Biomarker changes include increased IgG4 levels decreased eosinophil counts. This review provides valuable insights future research clinical practice, exploring viable option management AD.

Excessive amounts of free-oxygen radicals produced during inflammation induce oxidative stress and lead to cell damage, thus delaying the transition into proliferation in wound healing process. Oxidative on skin cells also plays an important role pathogenesis inflammatory diseases. The aim planned vitro studies was assess mechanisms regenerative action protection against three oil emulsions from transgenic (GMO) flax varieties M, B, MB a linseed emulsion traditional NIKE oil. Antioxidant gene-protective properties were identified for tested healthy model under stress. wound-healing potential these assessed proliferation, cycle, migration, apoptosis necrosis assays. conducted research presented that are safe human because they do not cancer and, at same time, migration processes normal cells. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze the problem of overweight and obesity among psoriatic patients by investigating influence body mass composition, anhedonia depression, environmental factors FTO gene polymorphisms. Methods: The enrolled 30 or obese adult with chronic plaque psoriasis volunteers (northern Poland region, Caucasian population). Mood disorders, composition using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) polymorphisms (rs9939609, rs1558902) tetra-primer amplification refractory mutation system PCR (T-ARMS-PCR) were assessed. Results: Results revealed significantly higher visceral adipose tissue levels in (5.23 ± 2.29 [L] vs. 3.41 1.86 [L]), p = 0.001), especially men, along elevated rates moderate severe depression (26.67% 6.67% 13.33% 3.33%, 0.048 respectively). Additionally, correlated waist–hip ratio differences both groups. Conclusions: highlights importance evaluating beyond index, recognizing its on associated conditions like depression. may serve as a potential genetic link between obesity, warranting further research for validation. Adiposity emerges key modifiable risk factor, underscoring clinical implications complexities management.

The risk of developing non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSCs) in patients with psoriasis is highly debated, and, to date, there no unambiguous consensus opinion. Psoriasis known be related an increased likelihood other comorbidities such as psoriatic arthritis, obesity, metabolic syndrome, depression, and cardiovascular disease. Regarding cancer risk, previous studies have reported a greater tendency for the development cutaneous T-lymphomas colon, breast, kidney, lung cancers. Furthermore, data from network meta-analyses shown that higher squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) and/or basal (BCCs). Background: Guselkumab is the first approved human IgG1λ monoclonal antibody selectively targeting p19 subunit of IL23. Its effectiveness and safety were widely reported by clinical trials. However, these results must be confirmed in real life since its deals with more complicated subjects respect to Currently, real-life data on use guselkumab following treatment failure ustekinumab are limited, existing studies usually show a small cohort and/or reduced follow-up period. In this context, aim our study was evaluate patients who previously did not respond after up 3 years treatment. Methods: A multicenter retrospective performed. The enrolled affected moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis undergoing attending Psoriasis Center nine different centers Campania region Italy. Demographic features collected for each patient at baseline. Moreover, severity adverse events (AEs) visit (week (W)16-W36-W52-W104-W156). Results: total 112 (70 male, 62.5%; mean age 54.8 ± 11.7 old) enrolled. Of these, 48 (42.9%), 34 (30.4%), 16 (14.3%) reached 1, 2, years, respectively, under guselkumab. statistically significant improvement observed W16, sustained timepoint W156.
