Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive and common primary brain tumor, defined by nearly uniform rapid progression despite current standard of care involving maximal surgical resection followed radiation therapy (RT) temozolomide (TMZ) or concurrent chemoirradiation (CRT), with an overall survival (OS) less than 30% at 2 years. Лікування гліобластоми є актуальною проблемою нейроонкології, оскільки навіть сучасні медичні та технологічні розробки не дали змоги досягти значного прогресу в її вирішенні. Вальпроєва кислота протиепілептичним препаратом із доведеною ефективністю. Також вивчають потенційні онкостатичні ефекти при лікуванні пухлин головного мозку. Мета: вивчити вплив вальпроєвої кислоти на ріст гліоми C6 щурів in vivo. Матеріали і методи. Після експериментального моделювання проводили ін’єкції внутрішньоочеревинно. Виживаність аналізували за допомогою кривої Каплана‒Мейєра. Гістологічно досліджували пухлини. Висновки про проліферативну активність робили підставі визначення концентрації Ki67-позитивних клітин. Результати. статистично значуще підвищувала медіану (Ме) виживаності гліомами від 11 до 13 діб (р=0,05) значно знижувала клітин (3,53±0,96, Ме ‒3,08 2,17±0,38, ‒ 2,11, р=0,05). Висновки. Отримані результати свідчать те, що вальпроєва пригнічує vivo, тому можна розглядати як перспективний засіб у комплексній терапії гліом клінічній практиці, потребує подальших досліджень.

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the most aggressive and difficult-to-treat brain tumors, with a poor prognosis due to its high resistance conventional therapies. Current treatment options, including surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, have limited effectiveness in improving long-term survival. Despite emergence new therapies, monotherapy approaches not shown significant improvements, highlighting need for innovative therapeutic strategies. Combination therapies appear be promising solution, as they target multiple molecular pathways involved GBM progression. Glioblastoma (GBM) is a fatal brain tumor with limited treatment options. Glioma is the most prevalent type of primary central nervous system cancer, while glioblastoma (GBM) its aggressive variant, with a median survival only 15 months when treated maximal surgical resection followed by chemoradiation therapy (CRT). CD133 potentially significant GBM biomarker. However, current clinical biomarker studies rely on invasive tissue samples. These make prolonged data acquisition impossible, resulting in increased interest use liquid biopsies. Our study, analyzed 7289 serum proteins from 109 patients pathology-proven obtained prior to CRT using aptamer-based SOMAScan® proteomic assay technology.
