Abstract Background Accessibility to the immense collection of studies on noncommunicable diseases related coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) and severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) is an immediate focus researchers. However, there a scarcity information about chronic obstructed pulmonary (COPD), which associated with high rate infection in COVID‐19 patients. Moreover, by combining effects SARS‐CoV‐2 COPD patients, we may be able overcome formidable obstacles factors, diagnosis influencers. Materials Methods A retrospective study 280 patients was conducted at DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh Punjab, Pakistan. Negative binomial regression describes risk fixed successive variables. The association described Cox proportional hazard model coefficient determined through log‐likelihood observation. Patients had their survival mortality plotted Kaplan–Meier curves. Results increased death due variables such as cough, lower tract (LRTI), tuberculosis (TB), body‐aches being 1.369, 0.693, 0.170, 0.217 times higher (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.747–1.992), CI: 0.231–1.156), 0.008–0.332), −0.07 0.440) while it decreased 0.396 normal condition. Conclusion We found that symptoms (cough, LRTI, TB, bodyaches) are statistically significant who were most infected SARS‐CoV‐2.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients commonly exhibit significant morbidity and experience a diminished quality of life. Since there has been no prior research on pneumonia in our study population, we carried out this to learn more about the situation. Methods A retrospective analysis 912 COPD with CAP who were receiving ICS treatment at DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan was conducted. Study began February 2022 ended 2023. Using multinomial logistic regression, odds ratio relative risk Kaplan–Meier curves showed time‐to‐death recovery by status. Results Patients having smoking history from 25 pack years above had 22.791 higher (95% CI: 20.413–31.515), 21.527 HTN 12.323–57.103), 16.955 diabetes 22.954–29.331), 13.964 death severity without COVID‐19 vaccination 5.988–32.561) compared 10 15 years. Conclusion shorter duration lower risk, vice versa, while vaccinated less severe as non‐vaccinated patients.

Abstract Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) is an evolutionarily conserved signaling pathway essential for embryonic development, tissue homeostasis, and tumorigenesis. Aberrant activation of the SHH induces various types cancer different immune dysregulation. extremely important morphogen during lung as it regulates interaction between epithelial mesenchymal transitions (EMT) in airways. Cigarette smoking triggers EMT activates pathway, which leads to damage development diseases, such COPD, a smoker's disease. also directs gut–lung axis (GLA) formation via epithelial–mesenchymal signaling. The abruption or alteration GLA responsible COPD pathogenesis. In this review, we elucidate overview its inhibitor HHIP, SHH's prominence dysregulation pathogenesis link with clinical features. We provide insights into linked nicotine their influence on

COPD is a multifactorial illness characterized by long-term restriction of airflow and an inflammatory reaction in the lungs. The associated emphysema leads to breakdown alveolar proteins abnormal expansion lung air spaces. Chronic bronchitis caused same disease can result increased deposition structural proteins, narrowing airways, excessive mucus secretion leading acute exacerbation (AECOPD). most commonly prescribed medications for it, such as glucocorticoids bronchodilators, provide important therapeutic benefits, but they also have negative side effects, including immunosuppression infection. Therefore, it necessary develop treatment that specifically target immune system molecular components. This review focuses on non-eosinophilic aspects immunological modulation management. Since, existing literature extensively covers eosinophilic inflammation, this aims fill gap examining alternative pathways their implications. findings suggest targeting specific responses may enhance efficacy while minimizing adverse effects with traditional therapies. In summary, emphasizes importance advancing research into mechanisms COPD, prescribing development novel therapies more effectively manage disease.
