Abstract
Several
chronic
disorders
including
type
2
diabetes
(T2D),
obesity,
heart
disease
and
cancer
are
preceded
by
a

of
low-grade
inflammation.
Biomarkers
for
the
early
assessment

acute
phase
proteins
(APP),
cytokines
chemokines,
pro-inflammatory
enzymes,
lipids
oxidative
stress
mediators.

saliva
through
blood

some

between
