Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. This descriptive-correlational cross-sectional study analyzed relationship between lifestyle factors cardiovascular parameters in 206 university students from University Los Lagos post-COVID-19 context, with a focus on gender differences. Indicators such as body mass index, waist circumference, blood pressure, glucose, sedentary behavior, tobacco alcohol consumption, sleep quality, self-reported stress were assessed. The results showed higher prevalence abdominal obesity behavior women, whereas men presented rates hypertension elevated glucose. While consumption did not differ significantly genders, both remain relevant risk population. Sleep quality correlated various genders. These findings highlight need for gender-specific interventions to address populations, emphasizing promotion physical activity women dietary strategies targeting sodium reduction men. Future longitudinal research should assess whether these trends persist over time explore effective intervention strategies.

Although the research has demonstrated that outcome expectations influence physical activity, precise underlying mechanisms remain ambiguous. Therefore, this study employed a cross-sectional design to investigate effect of on activity and examine roles body appreciation health status. A total 1349 participants (Mage = 19.42, SD 1.51; 410 males, 939 females) were recruited for data analyzed using combination path analysis network analysis. The results reveal positively predict activity. Body mediated relationship between expectation Furthermore, status moderated Specifically, did not individuals with low Network further revealed there more edges in high group compared group. For status, BA1 PA1 exhibited strongest connection among all Outcome play significant role acting as mediator. Health moderates suggesting interventions targeting may be effective better These findings offer insights tailored interventions.
