Anelloviruses are among the most prevalent viruses within human virome, detected in >90% of healthy individuals. Despite their ubiquity, role anelloviruses health remains elusive. This review examines potential associations torque teno virus (TTV), midi (TTMDV), and mini (TTMV) with various cancers, highlighting mixed conclusions from current epidemiological studies. may modulate cancer development through abnormal gene fusion, immune response, Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) activation. On other hand, might suppress tumor formation TTV-derived apoptosis-inducing protein (TAIP) NF-κB signaling inhibition. The high prevalence patients could also be attributed to immunocompromised status rather than a direct causative viruses. underscores need for more comprehensive studies, including vitro vivo experiments, clarify progression.

The gut virome is a dense community of viruses inhabiting the gastrointestinal tract and an integral part microbiota. coexists with other components microbiota host in dynamic equilibrium, serving as key contributor to maintenance intestinal homeostasis functions. However, this equilibrium can be interrupted certain pathological states, including inflammatory bowel disease, causing dysbiosis that may participate disease pathogenesis. Nevertheless, whether causal or bystander event requires further clarification.

Torque Teno Virus (TTV) is a highly prevalent non-pathogenic DNA virus whose plasma levels may be related to the host’s immune status. TTV gained attention about 25 years ago, but its replication not fully understood, nor relationship with host's system. Despite this lack of knowledge, currently being investigated as functional biomarker system in patients immunological damage and inflammatory diseases. Monitoring viral load over time help clinicians making therapeutic decisions regarding immunosuppression well likelihood infectious complications. This review summarizes what we do know enigmatic virus.
