The biological process of aging is influenced by a complex interplay genetic, environmental, and epigenetic factors. Recent advancements in the fields epigenetics senolytics offer promising avenues for understanding addressing age-related diseases. Epigenetics refers to heritable changes gene expression without altering DNA sequence, with mechanisms like methylation, histone modification, non-coding RNA regulation playing critical roles aging. Senolytics, class drugs targeting eliminating senescent cells, address accumulation dysfunctional cells that contribute tissue degradation chronic inflammation through senescence-associated secretory phenotype. This scoping review examines intersection senolytic therapies aging, focusing on their combined potential therapeutic interventions. Senescent display distinct signatures, such as hypermethylation modifications, which can be targeted enhance efficacy. Epigenetic reprogramming strategies, induced pluripotent stem may further complement rejuvenating aged cells. Integrating modulation therapy offers dual approach improving healthspan mitigating pathologies. narrative underscores need continued research into molecular underlying these interactions suggests future directions development, including clinical trials, biomarker discovery, combination synergistically target processes.
