Abstract Background Depression and anxiety disorders are prevalent mental health problems worldwide, their prevalence in university students is of particular concern. Meanwhile, functional constipation (FC), a chronic gastrointestinal dysfunction, has high concomitant with several disorders. The aim this study was to assess the depressive symptoms, FC among students, explore possible risk factors. Methods A cross-sectional survey conducted online general demographic data were collected from 12,721 Jiangsu Shandong provinces. Depressive symptoms assessed using Patient Health Questionnaire-9, measured Generalized Anxiety Disorder − 7 scale, ROME IV. Results self-reported depressive, anxiety, comorbid 16.3%, 24.9%, 13.3%, respectively, participating students. Furthermore, 22%, 1.811 times higher than without symptoms. University students are more likely to experience mental disorders. This study aimed assess the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress among health non-health university at King Khalid students, Abha, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. An anonymous validated short form Arabic questionnaire scale (DASS-21) survey was distributed online on social media platforms through face-to-face interview for 1700 from March 1st May 31st 2024. A multivariate linear regression model used examine relationships between independent variables (age, gender, academic year, field) dependent (depression, stress). More than half surveyed (72.8%) were females. The age distribution reveals that majority (71.4%) fall within 20–25 years old, 22.6% in their third (58.6%) pursued studies science disciplines. Almost 12% experienced moderate 39% suffered moderate, severe, extremely severe while 29.5% had depression. A bstract Background: The prevalence of stress among university students has emerged as a significant concern, with notable impacts on their academic performance and overall well-being. Despite the growing body literature association between mass index (BMI), physical activity (PA), stress, there is shortage research in Nigeria. Objective: This study aimed to investigate associations BMI PA female Materials Methods: cross-sectional survey design was employed, data were collected from convenience sample 301 undergraduate at Nigerian university. Perceived Stress Scale International Questionnaire—Short Form assessed PA. calculated participant’s weight height. Introdução: A saúde mental de estudantes universitários é um problema pública em âmbito mundial e pode estar associada a pior qualidade vida. O objetivo do presente estudo consiste avaliar associação entre as variáveis estresse, ansiedade depressão vida, sexo uso psicofármacos universitários. Métodos: Estudo transversal, realizado forma on-line, com 131 universitários, setembro dezembro 2022. avaliação dos níveis foi realizada utilizando Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21), vida avaliada por meio World Health Organization Quality of Life-Bref (WHOQOL-Bref). Análises bivariadas foram realizadas para determinar existência variáveis, 5% significância. Resultados: identificados altos estresse (89,30%), (83,10%) (80,90%) os estudantes. Essas apresentaram negativa estatisticamente significativa Observou-se o depressão, estresse. No entanto, não identificada relação ao sexo. Discussões conclusões: Sintomas predispõem menor estão associados psicofármacos. rastreamento intervenções psicológicas sobre esses sintomas podem contribuir melhorar percepção nesta população.

This article examined the interaction of social media use and physical activity with mental health outcomes in a cultural regional perspective among university students China. This study aimed to describe the lifestyle factors and mental health levels among higher education students identify their predictors. A cross-sectional with a sample of 745 was conducted from Polytechnic Porto using Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21), Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation (CORE)-18, FANTASTICO Lifestyle Questionnaire. The findings indicate that while generally exhibited positive lifestyle, they also experienced mild depression, anxiety, stress, nearing moderate threshold. Background/Objectives: The accelerating global concern for the mental health of university students necessitates delivering intervention programs. purpose this study is to evaluate effectiveness a 5-week blended counseling group program, with two integrated approaches, positive psychology and cognitive therapy, toward undergraduate engineering students' depression, anxiety, stress, from Higher School Pedagogical Technological Education, Greece. Methods: Participants mean age 21.12 (SD = 3.68) were administered DASS-21. Abstract Background Entrance into university brings about significant vicissitudes to living circumstances and often augments psychological pressure. Mental health challenges such as depression are probable if students unable cope with these pressures. Therefore, this study seeks investigate the prevalence of its associated factors among Iranian students. Methods This online, cross-sectional survey was implemented in Iran between October 9 November 22, 2024. A total 2783 contributed by completing questionnaires. The instruments included Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-4), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7), Oslo Social Support (OSSS-3), Meaning Life (MLQ). To determine depression, we performed both univariate multivariate regression analyses. Results occurrence 46.74%. Based on findings, being older than 25 years ( OR : 0.59; 95% CI 0.40–0.88; P 0.010), having a moderate good economic status 0.62; 0.43–0.90; 0.013), social support 0.66; 0.52–0.84; 0.001), strong 0.30; 0.15–0.59; regular sleep schedule 0.42; 0.34–0.53; < sleeping 6 – 7 h per night 0.61; 0.27–2.08; 0.014), 8 0.45–0.99; 0.049), meaning life 0.45; 0.36–0.57; 0.001) were reduced risk depression.
