Abstract Objectives The pathogenesis of oral cavity cancers is complex. We tested the hypothesis that microbiota dysbiosis associated with cancer. Materials and methods Patients primary cancer who met inclusion exclusion criteria were included in study. Matching healthy individuals recruited as controls. Data on socio-demographic behavioral factors, self-reported periodontal measures habits, current dental status collected using a structured questionnaire chartings. In addition to health measures, each participant received standard detailed clinical examination. DNA was extracted from saliva samples patients Next-generation sequencing performed by targeting V3-V4 gene regions 16 S rRNA subsequent bioinformatic analyses. Results had lower quality than Proteobacteria, Aggregatibacter, Haemophilus , Neisseria decreased, while Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Lactobacillus, Gemella Fusobacteria increased patients. At species level, C. durum, L. umeaens, N. subflava, A. massiliensis V. dispar significantly lower, G. haemolysans ( p < 0.05). Major periodontopathogens disease P. gingivalis F.nucleatum ) 6.5- 2.8-fold, respectively. Conclusion These data suggested worse conditions distinct microbiome composition affected personal daily habits may be pathogenicity interspecies interactions.
