Abstract: The present study, exploring media exposure of preschool age children using diaries had three major goals. First goal was to examine whether there a relationship between the duration children’s use and their prosocial aggressive behavior. Then, second explore links content they Finally, informed by Displacement theory, we focused on time spent for developmentally enriching activities changed based use. Parents 52 ages 4 6 reported diary filled out throughout weekend teachers assessed behaviors same children. results showed that behavior increased as playing video games increased. Also, engaging decreased study contributed field it provided an in-depth exploration factors associated with habits at home providing duration, context behaviors.

Computational thinking (CT) is considered a key competence in today’s digital era. It an emerging construct that relates to critical and creativity. Research on its assessment the process of consolidation. This systematic review aims analyze studies have used CT instruments for children adolescents aged 4 16 years order identify which variables, they assess their psychometric properties. The search analysis were carried out following PRISMA statement protocol, analyzing 50 articles published between 2006 March 2023. An increase publication measurement observed, with 54% them supported by evidence validity 88% reliability, highlighting validity, followed content criteria validity. China leads number publications, while Asia Europe concentrate most research. There noticeable contribution from South America, evidencing lack participation Central American countries this field study.

Student attitude and involvement in the sciences may be positively or negatively influenced through both formal academic experiences informal outside classroom. Researchers have reported that differences science interest between genders begin early a student’s career attitudes towards particular field of can correlated to achievement field. In this study, we approach question how been shaped using college-age students. Survey data from students similar positions were employed control for cultural progress. Results self-reflection survey indicated general personal as process field-specific content increased elementary school high until entering college. Differences arose self-identified student with science, while groups when on their own. Female had higher rates participation enjoyment groups, male more frequently enjoyed alone. Students, regardless gender, rarely negative However, students’ surpassed female during school. Declining interests quantitative aspects (mathematics statistics) by non-STEM majors before college experience. Presently, computational thinking (CT) is considered necessary for adapting to the future. Concurrently, COVID-19 pandemic has accentuated demand strengthening Environmental Education as a means improve sustainability and stimulate environmental protection public health. Having in mind that CT does not concern only technocrats but also applies solving everyday problems, we introduce novel idea of synergistic learning Study. Thus, our research aim explore correlation between algorithmic (AT), fundamental competency, educational achievements Study course during early primary school years. Towards this end, implemented quantitative study, employing an innovative assessment framework propose. The adoption cluster sampling eventuated sample 435 students. exploitation ordinal logistic regression analysis machine method validated two fields pointed out AT levels constitute predictive factor performance vice versa. These results support concurrently cultivating consciousness build robust base future studies will focus on providing ecological reflection activities.

The rising interest of educators, researchers, and policymakers around the world as far development computational thinking skills in compulsory education is concerned echoed plethora research studies discussed pertinent literature. However, successful injection computation formal educational settings demands construction developmentally appropriate assessment tools. In this paper, we discuss a novel framework for assessing early childhood settings. proposed was employed relevant quantitative study conducted city Heraklion, Crete, from February to June 2019, with sample 435 first second graders within context Environmental Study course. This paper also provides evidence regarding examination age, gender, learning achievements course predictive factors one core competencies, namely algorithmic thinking. findings revealed that age constitute grade level primary school. On contrary, are not related graders' gender. results provide solid background designing implementing tools cultivating years schooling.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been proven to be an important vector in humanity's behavioral reshaping, reflecting on people's value systems regarding sustainable consumption, and environmental awareness. At the same time, inevitable lockdown brought out demand for designing innovative educational assessment strategies, oriented toward digital technology. However, even before pandemic, technology had already infused contemporary settings, while its undeniable effect future of forthcoming generations entailed necessity developing today's students' competencies computational thinking (CT) skills order equip them a new reality job arena. Especially early childhood, implementing interdisciplinary education, exploiting state-of-the-art technological tools, adopting engaging practices, like robotics, support cultivation core 21st-century skills, such as CT Directly responding these considerations, we provide results scoping review conducted April 2023, following PRISMA statement, aiming at bringing studies practices childhood education that concurrently cultivate awareness via robotics. findings literature indicate this field remains direly underinvestigated.

Learning to program is a challenge for many novice computing students. This may be partially due the inadequacy of conventional pedagogical approaches resulting in dropouts and failure, especially among females minoritized Consequently, more effective methods increase success rates effectively broaden participation are needed. We investigated effectiveness constructionist programming pedagogy with college-level CS1 students, how that varies by gender. Our quasi-experimental design includes participants from classes at several polytechnics Nigeria who were assigned either experimental or control groups receiving six weeks instruction using Scratch approach. Findings indicated cohorts had significantly higher mean post-test scores than classes. observed no significant difference between genders. However, gender was found gain within one study where we also relationship academic background. Overall, our approach demonstrated positive effects on achievements emphasizing need consider role contextual factors such as background regional disparities across differences.

This study examines CT proficiency of Indonesian using data from Bebras Challenge 2023, international competition designed to evaluate students' skills. The research employs a quantitative ex post facto approach, including sample 3,648 elementary, junior high, and senior high schools Indonesia who participated 2023 achieved minimum score 50. primary source this is secondary, derived test results obtained legally official website bebras.or.id, adhering strictly ethical guidelines regarding participant anonymity. Data analysis techniques include SPSS 23 software applying descriptive inferential statistical methods, specifically Kruskal-Wallis Mann-Whitney tests, examine average discrepancies across different groups. findings indicate that skills among are significantly underdeveloped, with 87% participants scoring below threshold scores those exceeded were around 56.25, indicating room improvement. Significant disparities abilities observed student groups categorized as Siaga, Penggalang, Penegak, varying levels. Additionally, gender-based differences noted, male demonstrating superior compared female students. emphasizes need collaborative efforts educators, policymakers, communities enhance education Indonesia, advocating integrated curricula, targeted educator training programs, inclusive learning environments foster all demographics.
