Pharmacology education, integral to the development of healthcare professionals, is traditionally characterized by lecture-based teaching, written examinations, and laboratory reports. However, such conventional methods often exacerbate student stress anxiety, potentially impairing cognitive function, hindering learning, negatively influencing academic performance. This review explores an innovative pedagogical approach—escape room-based learning—and its potential impact on well-being, engagement, success. By comparing escape learning traditional assessments, this article investigates how these influence stress, engagement among pharmacology students. Escape rooms, initially designed as recreational activities, have gained popularity in education for their interactive collaborative nature. Their experiential design promotes active problem-solving, teamwork. In a context, students immerse themselves complex scenarios, requiring them apply theoretical knowledge real-world clinical situations. These hands-on activities enhance understanding drug mechanisms, interactions, pharmacokinetics while reducing anxiety associated with high-stakes assessments. highlights limitations assessment methods, which rely heavily passive are high levels pressure. Conversely, offers dynamic, gamified experience, engaging inclusive environment that fosters teamwork stimulation. An imaginary room design, “The Pharmaceutical Lab Heist,” presented, illustrating application pharmacology. The scenario challenges solve pharmacology-related puzzles, including mechanism matching, equations, receptor-binding games. critical thinking real-time reinforcing key pharmacological concepts. Despite growing interest approach, there remains paucity research directly education. While existing literature suggests rooms well-being systematic comparative studies limited. Addressing gap, future should focus longitudinal evaluate relative efficacy enhancing

The rapid evolution of technology in education highlights the need for methodologies that enhance student engagement and skill development. This study examines students’ perceptions designing educational escape rooms using ICT tools generative AI (GenAI) as a learning methodology. A total 47 students participated creating digital with GenAI, Genially, HeroForge course “Mediation Conflicts Situations Violence” within Social Education degree. qualitative approach was used, analyzing focus group discussions conducted after activity. Results indicate valued experience, emphasizing its impact on competence, creativity, problem-solving skills. Collaborative helped overcome initial technical challenges, recognized practical applicability room design mediation contexts. However, they identified areas improvement, such more training, extended development time, better access to tools. contributes game-based AI-enhanced research, positioning active designers rather than passive users. Future research should explore long-term knowledge retention transferable skills professional settings.

The use of active learning activities for evaluation purposes has been reported to improve results in all areas within the education field. In this paper we describe a generic multilevel structure educational escape rooms, along with case where such design was applied assessment course STEM area. Furthermore, project-based activity also added complement that assessment. obtained expose an increase both academic performance and success rate, percentage rises cases go line literature. Additionally, high level engagement measured during those activities, which is lead better improved learning. Hence, seems be primary source increments experienced.

Active learning is a paradigm where students take more active role in their process. In this paper, two team-based evaluation activities are established for according to the principles of order assess knowledge, skills and attitudes. These were based on scenarios related network administration issues, at later stage, each team had make pitch presentation about what they did how it address them. Each was rated by all with specific construct peer review basis, which previously been validated panel experts. The results obtained revealed quite high values low variability an acceptable reliability. Additionally, level motivation also assessed, indicating while undertaking activities.
