Abstract This review was conducted in order to determine the specific role of intelligent technologies individual learning experience. Purpose This bibliometric study aims to analyze publication trends, active countries, collaborations, influential citations and thematic evolution in learning analytics (LA) research focused on higher education (HE) during after the COVID-19 lockdown period. Design/methodology/approach From Scopus database, this analysis extracts evaluates 609 scholarly articles LA HE starting 2019. The multidimensional process identifies scope impacts, advancing understanding of HE. Learning analytics research has long flagged the importance of social and emotional well-being on student academic progress outcomes. However, few studies have examined interplay between measures outcomes at scale.
