Background Pedagogical best practices play a pivotal role in ensuring the academic success of students within higher education landscape. This study aims to systematically synthesize innovative pedagogical university context. Methods We conducted thorough systematic review using rigorous PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology. Our involved comprehensive searches scientific databases, including Eric, Scopus, Proquest, covering both Spanish English publications. strategically employed Boolean operators like AND OR create robust search equation. primary research question guiding this investigation was: “What have been developed settings improve teaching learning effectiveness?” central led us delve deeply into strategies utilized, approaches adopted, noticeable impact achieved after their implementation. Additionally, we carefully established stringent inclusion exclusion criteria accordance with guidelines ensure methodological rigor. Results A total 25 scholarly articles that met pre-established were meticulously identified included review. The results thoughtfully categorized three distinct strategies: first emphasizing student-centered approaches, second showcasing integration educational technology, third highlighting evaluation feedback methodologies. Conclusions exploration underscores paramount importance driving continuous improvement teacher training fostering innovation arena. Such not only an engaging effective environment but also set stage ongoing advancements processes.

The use of active and flipped methodologies has increased in recent years. Here, gamification uses typical elements a game different contexts, including that education. Specifically, Escape Room games used as educational tools have potential for teaching–learning, they can be beneficial because improve students’ motivation emotions toward learning. This is particularly valuable science, technology, engineering mathematics (STEM) courses, where the cognitive factor multidimensional domain are closely connected. research presents an online-based Edu-Escape with science sustainability contents educative tool STEM course. With intervention proposed, we analyze how this influences (attitudes, self-efficacy emotions) pre-service teachers (PSTs). According to attitude analysis, it observed most items analyzed show increase more positive attitudes after intervention. In particular, Question 11 (Q11) indicates significant difference. Concerning results emotion, “joy”, “satisfaction” “fun” significantly However, negative “nervousness”, “frustration” “concern” also increase, partly due characteristics. proposed activity had medium effect on differences except emotion “frustration”, large according size (ES) analysis. principal component analysis (PCA), attitudes, PSTs positively correlated, influence shows improvement these variables. Finally, structural equation modeling partial least squares (SEM-PLS) showed effects instruction PSTs’ towards science. Therefore, there multiple benefits having implemented Room.

Innovation has changed teaching-learning processes; among the strategies that have been implemented are gamification and game-based learning, which related to use of games generate spaces for participation. On other hand, cooperative learning promotes scenarios discussion, group work, socialization. A systematic review is presented, following PRISMA methodology. SCOPUS, WoS, ERIC databases were used, 20 articles published in period from 2012 2021 chosen. The results show model, gamification, allow strengthening academic, personal, social skills playful foster emotions creativity. In-person, virtual, blended activities, role-playing, assignment improve motivation some options implementation model. Some applied tools Scratch, Kahoot, Pandemic, Night Living Debt, Spoc, Minecraft, Scape Room, Cerebriti Edu, GaCoCo, Crazy Racket, Keep Dancing. We conclude development new environments allows students teachers work groups achieve proposed objectives, with more participation, interaction, motivation, inclusion.

Gamified Flipped Classrooms (GFC) are increasingly implemented in teaching and have become a trending research subject. Gamification Classroom (FC) literature expresses clear need for theoretical foundation that positively affects motivation, behavioral change, learning. However, this requires an overview of the current foundations GFC research. Therefore, study conducted systematic mixed studies review (SMSR) learning effects. Sixty-nine were identified after applying rigorously defined inclusion exclusion criteria. The revealed significant number (25 69) lacked foundation. In supported by theory, Self-Determination Theory (SDT) was most frequently employed. Moreover, only three used theories to design both gamification FC components. While generally shows positive effects on learning, with background reported higher rate outcomes (56%), compared 29% lacking Future should explore attempt link SDT other impacts.
