The rapid growth in the number of interconnected devices on Internet (referred to as Things—IoT), along with huge volume data that are exchanged and processed, has created a new landscape network design operation. Due limited battery size computational capabilities IoT nodes, processing usually takes place external devices. Since latency minimization is key concept modern-era networks, edge servers close proximity nodes gather process related data, while some cases offloading cloud might have take place. interconnection vast heterogeneous cloud, where IoT, edge, converge form computing continuum, also known IoT-edge-cloud (IEC) continuum. The management of decentralized energy resources and smart grids needs novel data-driven low-latency applications services to improve resilience responsiveness ensure closer real-time control. However, the large-scale integration Internet Things (IoT) devices has led generation significant amounts data at edge grid, posing challenges for traditional cloud-based smart-grid architectures meet stringent latency response time requirements emerging applications. In this paper, we delve into grid computational distribution architectures, including edge–fog–cloud models, orchestration, frameworks support design offloading across continuum. This research used a wearable sensor to gather photoplethysmography (PPG) signals from 15 healthy subjects. The dataset includes 7,308 PPG segments, each containing 8 seconds of data and corresponding labels indicating the type physical activity subject performed. article proposes convolutional neural network (CNN) model classify signals. proposed several layers: batch normalization, convolutional, max-pooling, dropout, fully connected. output layer uses softmax activation function compute probabilities class. Regarding performance, suggested CNN outperforms conventional models like SVM with RBF kernel, Decision Tree, Random Forest. also suggests techniques optimize further, which can be beneficial for developing IoMT applications such as recognition vital signs monitoring.

Ensuring robust network security is crucial in the context of Software-Defined Networking(SDN). Which, becomes a multi-billion dollar industry, and it's deployed many data centers nowadays. The new technology provides programmability, centralized control, global view network. But, unfortunately, it comes with vulnerabilities, attack vectors compared to traditional SDN cybersecurity became trending research topic due hype Machine Learning (ML) when group Learning(ML) techniques called Deep Learning(DL) started take shape setting networks. This paper focuses on developing advanced models address inherent vectors. In this paper, we have built two that can be used for building complete Intrusion Detection System(IDS) solution, one using hybrid CNN-LSTM architecture other Transformer encoder-only architecture. We specifically target controller where represents point. utilized InSDN dataset training testing our models, captures real-world traffic within environment. For evaluation, accuracy, precision, recall, F1 Score. Our experiment results show model 48 features achieves highest accuracy at 99.02%, while 99.01%. reduced 6 4, which gave us varying impacts models' performance. merged 4 poorly represented attacks class, enhanced by significant score. Additionally, investigate binary classification merging all types into single as result, increased both models. best an 99.19% feature sets, enhances state-of-the-art results.
