Application of the environmental Kuznets curve hypothesis in the Indian core industries: Towards a greener economy

Abstract The study investigates the long‐term effects of two core industries India, namely crude oil and electricity on environment by adopting industry‐specific environmental Kuznets curve (IEKC) hypothesis. A traditional EKC hypothesis, described an inverted U‐shape, demonstrates relationship between economic growth degradation. tests IEKC individually for each time series data ranging from 1994 to 2021 2019 industry.
