Sea level rise is one of the most serious outcomes increasing temperatures, leading to coastal flooding, beach erosion, freshwater contamination, loss habitats, increased soil salinity, and risk damage infrastructures. This study estimates vulnerability inundation for 2100 in zones Jeddah Province, Kingdom Saudi Arabia, under various sea (SLR) scenarios 1, 2, 5, 10 m. The predicted flooding was estimated using a combination factors, including SLR, bathtub model, digital elevation climate scenarios, land use cover. used were Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 1.9, 2.6, 4.5, 8.5. results SLR m revealed that 1.6, 4.7, 14.9, 30.6% (or 88, 214, 679, 1398 km2) area's coast could be classified as inundated areas. can inundate 3.3 34% road area/length. built-up areas range between 0.31 0.79 km2, accounting respectively 1.18 3.01% total class 1-meter 2-meter scenarios. In contrast, area will significant situation 5 Regarding case 10-meter scenario, negatively impact infrastructure areas, inundating 8.9 with industrial infrastructures affected by at 0.21 followed green space 0.013 km2. spatial information based on scenario mapping Province highly valuable decision-makers better plan future civil engineering structures within framework sustainable development.

Ecotourism in Saudi Arabia (KSA) is gaining significant attention due to the country’s diverse natural landscapes, rich biodiversity, and efforts preserve display its environmental treasures. This study presents a comprehensive assessment of urban green space (UGS) suitability Taif region using geographic information system (GIS) combined with multiple-criteria decision-analysis-based analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The integration various morphologic, topographic, climatic, land use/land change (LULC) maps provided robust framework for evaluating UGSs. In this study, ten criteria were used elaborate on UGS suitability. results indicate that distance water, road, rainfall, LULC most influential determining Distance road emerged as criterion, emphasizing importance accessibility visibility attracting public spaces. demonstrated fair development across 56.4% total area. However, large areas barren central northeastern parts rendered unsuitable development, while southwestern part showed higher percentages good excellent highlights considering awareness aspects planning, it serves visual reminder value nature settings. obtained by research may help managers decision makers future planning GI region.

Ensuring equitable access to green spaces in urban built-up areas is not only vital for fostering environmental justice but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, there a noticeable gap current body of research regarding role small spaces, especially their multifunctionality from an ecosystem services perspective. Taking area Harbin as example, this study first applied Analytic Hierarchy Process classify supply and demand space into three types. Then, article further analyzes potential functional positioning newly added including ecological social functions, using Minimum Cumulative Resistance Point Interest. Finally, multi-criteria decision models are used explore priority construct multi-functional highly-efficient network. The results indicate significant imbalance demand, severe medium mismatch accounting 30.17 % 48.50 %, respectively. By assessing we propose guidelines that include five types areas: Concentrated (85.85 km2, 16.94 %), Backup (70.74 14.31 Maintenance (304.49 61.51 Protection (14.94 3.02 Optimization (20.89 4.22 %). proposes 277.60 km multifunctional examining crafts pivotal framework enhancing equity environments, providing valuable insights policymakers planners. approach has implications developing networks varied contexts offers model wider application, serving reference achieving countries globally.

Green infrastructure (GI) has been increasingly associated with urban flood resilience as it provides benefits in protecting communities from dangers and improving socio-economic capabilities. In order to optimize the GI advantages, is necessary engage strategic prioritizing of implementation areas, considering local conditions. Despite a growing interest connecting resilience, there still lack strategic-oriented planning models aimed at enhancing resilience. This study introduced Flood Resilience-based Urban Infrastructure Site Priority (FRUGISP) model, which employs GIS-based multi-criteria assessment determine regions that should be prioritized for systems, based on their levels. The model was used map priority areas Monterrey, Mexico, Brussels, Belgium. distinct features, both cities face challenges. results showed utmost importance index land availability implementation. potential applied other grappling issues, providing guidance decision-makers selecting high-priority locations projects. approach can effectively address difficulties posed by floods, ensuring areas.

In Saudi Arabia, Al-Baha region is considered the most vulnerable to changes in community structure and biodiversity due spread of invasive plants. This study was designed evaluate diversity plants across six dam areas (Medhas, Aljanabeen, Alaqiq, Arada, Alahsaba Olib).Twenty were reported representing 17 genera 10 families; 35% them from American region, while 55% therophytes Asteraceae prevalent family.Species richness ranged 4 13 per area, higher Medhas lower Olib areas.Argemone ochroleuca which abundantly distributed all had greatest potential invade this area. The evenness value for area (0.92) markedly high since it close one.A level plant observed Aljanabeen areas. This result confirmed by highest Shannon (2.19), Simpson (0.88), Brillouin, (2.16), index values Margalef (1.86), Menhinick (0.52), Fisher's alpha (2.31) area.Plant invasion correlated with soil physical chemical variables elevation gradients.Canonical correspondence analysis revealed that total organic matter, electric conductivity, key active environmental factors studied areas.
