This study aims to explore the impact of urban green spaces on improving quality life and providing a healthier environment for residents, reflecting growing global interest in their role sustainable development climate change mitigation, especially large cities like Jeddah. Analytical methods field surveys were used gather data from five parks The included questionnaires distributed 409 park visitors between March May 2021 assess satisfaction with management, usage patterns, social environmental benefits. findings indicate that play crucial enhancing both mental physical health, fostering interactions, reducing stress. Good infrastructure sense safety increase visitor engagement, while availability per capita Jeddah is relatively low compared other cities. These results underscore importance developing public policies improve access areas. Green can contribute goals by disparities residents’ life. recommends better space management increasing awareness

Inadequate municipal solid waste (MSW) management has become a pressing concern, resulting in significant environmental contamination, particularly developing countries. Composting demonstrated its practicality and feasibility for addressing this issue; however, the lack of at-source separation remains major challenge. As result, study, first sustainable MSW at source was conducted Tan An City, Long Province. The objective study to evaluate compost process quality using City’s separated biodegradable organic as raw material, through windrow composting with active aeration. Biodegradable waste, slow-biodegradable plastic accounted 84.5%, 15.1% 0.4%, respectively, total waste. pH, moisture, volatile percentage, nitrogen, carbon carbon-to-nitrogen ratio were 8.7 ± 0.4, 76.8 1.9%, 68.3 1.3%, 2.1 0.1%, 35.7 2.2% 17 0.8, respectively. Rice straw mixed bulking material 31%:69% achieve moisture content 55% mixture. After 10 weeks, an evaluation compost’s revealed potential suitability agricultural applications. Notably, Salmonella not detected compost, heavy metal levels below standard limits, indicating safety compost. To ensure optimal nutrient effective plant growth, slight nitrogen phosphorus supplement recommended. Aligned C/N 12.1 consistent temperature approximately 29 °C, indicates high degree maturity stability process. framework demonstrates effectiveness paving path management.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the relationship between emergency response times and crash severity in New York City, focusing on spatial disparities their implications. It examines how these impact disadvantaged neighborhoods, particularly regarding traffic safety service accessibility. Design/methodology/approach The research uses comprehensive analysis techniques, including hotspot mapping, network for travel time modeling, local bivariate correlation area calculations. maps data alongside facility locations, considering peak-hour traffic. Area Deprivation Index (ADI) is integrated evaluate socioeconomic factors influencing approach provides a nuanced understanding of correlate with at census block level, accounting disparities. Findings reveals significant across City. In high-poverty, predominantly minority areas, are 2–3 min longer than average, correlating 15% increase severe injury rates. Over 20% neighborhoods show correlations severity, positive linear (5.51%), negative (10.72%), concave (2.44%) convex (2.80%) relationships. Blocks relationships have mean ADI rank 3.918. During peak hours, 69.7% Manhattan blocks relationships, highest among boroughs. Originality/value highlights justice issues urban systems, emphasizing need localized, data-driven planning infrastructure adjustments. By integrating ADI, multifaceted complex dynamics accessibility that not yet been investigated diverse communities.

Saudi Arabian cities have experienced a rapid expansion of their urban areas - particularly city centers over the last four decades. This has resulted to an increase in vehicular usage, which adversely affected daily walking experience residents. Walkability several positive effects on people's health as well environment cities. In addition being means transportation, it also helps people create sense place, enhancing image ability be easily understood legible structure, and deepen emotional bond with city. Using medium-sized Onaizah case study, this study looks into feasibility creating corridors encourage users walk more. According Arabia's Vision 2030, emphasizes value sustainable development raising quality life for residents, addresses walkability generator maintain improve scene center. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) was used analyze data generate The results showed possibility improving through three center, measuring 1,401 meters, 1,283 1,507 respectively. These represent urban, commercial heritage corridors, giving opportunity planners decision makers challenge prioritize pedestrian connectivity enhance physical environment, leading development. research paper various criteria analysis methods provide comprehensive assessment factors conclude these corridors; example, assessments land use, transportation environmental considerations. aligns vision 2030 by promoting city's overall while offering society suggesting center livable environment.
