With the increasing pollution caused by plastic products, people’s awareness of environmental protection has gradually increased. Based on advantages China’s bamboo resources and industry, International Network for Bamboo Rattan launched ‘Utilizing as a sustainable alternative to plastic’ initiative in November 2022 accelerate implementation United Nations 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development. This provides nature-based solution global development, which will have profound impact promoting green industrial science technology, social services, cultural exchanges, other fields. It huge market capacity application potential. study aims understand research status, hotspots, development trends, prospects this initiative. WoS China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were searched relevant literature ‘utilizing ‘bamboo resources’ from establishment database 2024. Bibliometric methods VOSviewer used analyze 1855 literatures with above two keywords published Web Science core set 2000 A visual analysis was performed number publications, national institutions, researchers, citations, topics literature. For example, China, States, India ranked top three terms articles published, 1103, 267, 167, respectively. had highest reaching 26,607. At same time, ‘bamboo’ keyword CNKI analyzed species currently studied. investigation carried out around resource cultivation industry our country, it found that ‘use been valued scholars at home abroad, formed relatively stable group. Using scientific technological innovation improve product quality instead plastic’, expanding its scope demand, realizeing is current hotspot future direction.

Dendrocalamus latiflorus, a species of giant bamboo, holds significant ecological and economic value. This review delves into the intricate interplay between phytohormones sugar metabolism in emphasizing species-specific mechanisms that enhance its adaptability rapid growth. By synthesizing recent research, this work highlights how phytohormones, including auxins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, regulate pathways such as glycolysis starch degradation response to environmental stimuli. These hormones influence crucial plant processes, cell division, elongation, stress responses, glycolysis, tricarboxylic acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation. Geographic variations these processes are examined, demonstrating their role adaptation resilience. For instance, populations nutrient-rich soils exhibit enhanced cytokinin activity transport efficiency, while those water-limited areas display elevated levels, aiding drought tolerance. targeted focus on D. latiflorus provides novel insights potential applications sustainable forestry agroforestry systems. integrating advances, critical phytohormone–sugar improving productivity resilience with implications for systems climate change adaptation.
