Osteoarthritis (OA) is a typical joint disease associated with chronic inflammation. The nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) pathway plays an important role in inflammatory activity and inhibiting NF-κB-mediated inflammation can be potential strategy for treating OA. Flavonoids are class of naturally occurring polyphenols anti-inflammatory properties. Structurally, natural flavonoids divided into several sub-groups, including flavonols, flavones, flavanols/catechins, flavanones, anthocyanins, isoflavones. Increasing evidence demonstrates that exhibit protective against the pathological changes OA by NF-κB signaling pathway. Potentially, may suppress signaling-mediated responses, ECM degradation, chondrocyte apoptosis. different biological actions chondrocytes might differentially substituted groups on structures. In this review, efficacy action mechanism development discussed targeting could become useful inhibitors therapeutic management

Chrysin is a natural flavonoid compound that has antioxidant and neuroprotective effects. Cerebral ischemia reperfusion (CIR) closely connected with increased oxidative stress in the hippocampal CA1 region homeostasis disorder of transition elements such as iron (Fe), copper (Cu) zinc (Zn). This exploration was conducted to elucidate effects chrysin based on transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO) rats. Experimentally, sham group, model (50.0 mg/kg) Ginaton (21.6 Dimethyloxallyl Glycine (DMOG, 20.0 + group DMOG were devised. The rats each performed behavioral evaluation, histological staining, biochemical kit detection, molecular biological detection. results indicated restrained rise element levels, regulated transporter levels tMCAO activated hypoxia-inducible factor-1 subunit alpha (HIF-1α), reversed chrysin, levels. In word, our findings emphasize plays critical role protecting CIR injury via inhibiting HIF-1α against enhancive raised metal

Biological properties of Sonoran propolis (SP) are influenced by harvest time. Caborca showed cellular protective capacity against reactive oxygen species, which might be implicated in anti-inflammatory effects. However, the activity SP has not been investigated so far. This study previously characterized seasonal extracts (SPE) and some their main constituents (SPC). The SPE SPC was evaluated measuring nitric oxide (NO) production, protein denaturation inhibition, heat-induced hemolysis hypotonicity-induced inhibition. from spring, autumn, winter a higher cytotoxic effect on RAW 264.7 cells (IC50: 26.6 to 30.2 µg/mL) compared with summer extract 49.4 µg/mL). spring reduced NO secretion basal levels at lowest concentration tested (5 inhibited 79% 100%, autumn highest inhibitory activity. stabilized erythrocyte membrane concentration-dependent manner. Results indicate that flavonoids chrysin, galangin, pinocembrin could contribute time influences such property. presents evidence pharmacological potential constituents.

Geographic conditions (altitude, climate, and local flora) lead to significant differences in the chemical composition of propolis. Therefore, more research is needed for propolis different geographical regions. So, aim this study was evaluate phenolic profile, total content, antioxidant, antidiabetic properties Pülümür from Turkey. Methanol (MeOH), chloroform (CHCl3 ), hexane extracts were analyzed. LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis showed that most abundant compound caffeic acid MeOH extract (2943.12±11.12 μg phenolics/g extract), while on other hand, CHCl3 had highest content (125.75±1.02 mg GAE/g extract). Antioxidant activity measured using ABTS DPPH assays, whereas (IC50 =6.35±0.11 28.84±0.10 μg/mL, respectively) =5.04±0.07 28.80±0.09 relatively high antioxidant activity. The better than standard compound, acarbose =0.544 0.805 mg/mL, respectively).

Previous study has shown that propolis ethanolic extract (PEE) a protective effect on aging skeletal muscle atrophy. However, the exact molecular mechanism remains unclear. This aimed to investigate of PEE D-galactose (D-gal)-induced damage in mouse C2C12 cells. The results revealed increased viability senescent cells, decreased number senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-Gal)-positive cells and promoted differentiation resisted oxidative stress caused by D-gal activating Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway maintained ability inhibited apoptosis suppressing p38 phosphorylation reducing p53 expression. In summary, our findings reveal which protects D-gal-induced providing theoretical basis for development alleviation

Oxidative stress and inflammation are crucial factors in the development of cardiovascular diseases. In previous research, oxidative models have frequently been explored independently. current study, we investigated antioxidant anti-inflammatory effects tomato extract its two main carotenoids (lutein lycopene) with various concentrations using a rat cardiomyocyte model co-existing persistent chronic inflammation. It was discovered that 0.5–5 μM lutein, lycopene, 50–200 μg/mL increased dose-dependent manner. However, pro-oxidation emerged by measuring antioxidant-related indices, including levels ROS, SOD, GPX H9c2 cells as exceeded those mentioned above. The were simultaneously strengthened higher concentrations, potentially due to suppression NF-κB signaling pathway. Furthermore, high regulated Nrf2/HO-1 pathways dependent on TGF-1β IL-10 demonstrate anti-inflammation effects. Our findings indicate dose–effect regulatory mechanisms properties among will be advantageous developing more effective therapeutic strategies prevent

In this study, we initially predicted the mechanism of action AG with two anti-aging antioxidant-related protein targets (CD38 IGFR) by molecular docking dynamics simulation techniques. Subsequently, examined effects Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans), zebrafish, verified related mechanisms. C. elegans, synergistically extended lifespan up-regulating expression daf-16 through inhibiting daf-2/IGFR also activating AMPK MAPK pathways to up-regulate sir-2.1, sir-2.4, skn-1. oxidatively damaged zebrafish embryos, demonstrated synergistic effect augmenting resistance embryos oxidative stress levels SIRT1 SIRT6 within system via suppression CD38 enzymatic activity then IGFR SIRT6.
