It is related to the presence of secondary metabolites, mainly cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids, synergy their aim this study was assess activity Henola Cannabis sativae extract its combinations with selected carriers (polyvinyl caprolactam–polyvinyl acetate–polyethylene glycol graft copolymer, magnesium aluminometasilicate, hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin) terms antimicrobial, probiotic, immunobiological effects. As a result conducted research, antimicrobial confirmed relation following microorganisms: Clostridium difficile, Listeria monocytogenes, Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, pyrogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella typhimurium, Pseudomonas aereuginosa, Candida albicans (microorganism count reduced from ~102 CFU mL−1 <10 most cases). Additionally, for system hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin, significant probiotic potential against bacterial strains established Lactobacillus acidophilus, casei, plantarum, brevis, rhamnosus, reuteri, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactococcus lactis, fermentum, Streptococcus thermophilus increased 104–107). In immunomodulatory properties, it determined that tested systems caused changes IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α levels.

Bitter food, because of its unique taste, is not popular with the public, and even considered to be difficult swallow. By binding specific sites bitter receptors (26 hTAS2Rs), compounds activate downstream signaling pathways mediated by G protein, which convert chemical signals into electrical that are ultimately transmitted brain produce perception. The intensity bitterness mainly determined hydrophobic recognition region receptors. in foods include alkaloids, polyphenols, terpenoids, amino acids, etc. Foods rich taste mostly natural such as beans, nuts, coffee, Studies have proven biological activities preventing hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hyperglycemia, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antibacterial, antioxidant, exhibit neuroprotective effects other activities. purpose this review explore perception activity compounds, clarify mechanism their action on human health, provide theoretical guidance for development application functional foods.

We investigated the antimicrobial properties and effects on bone resorption of Brazilian organic honeydew (OHD) from Bracatinga tree (Mimosa scabrella Benth.), a rare honey certified with Denomination Origin, using periodontal disease model. Antibiofilm activity was assessed subgingival biofilm adhered to Calgary device. Biofilms were treated OHD, chlorhexidine (0.12%), or vehicle twice daily for 1 min starting day 3, at concentrations 2× 10× minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). employed ligature-induced chronic model challenged it Porphyromonas gingivalis in C57BL/6 mice. The chemical profile OHD analyzed LC-ESI-IT-MS/MS. Results evaluated by measuring loss microbial composition ligature through DNA-DNA hybridization. demonstrated significant against P. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is an important global public health issue. The World Health Organization (WHO) 2024 Global Report estimated that the prevalence of people living with HBV infection 254 million, incidence 1.2 million new infections yearly. Previous studies have shown natural compounds antiviral inhibition potentials. In silico methods such as molecular docking, virtual screening, pharmacophore modeling, quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR), and dynamic simulations been successfully applied in identifying bioactive strong binding energies treatment targets. COVID-19 pandemic necessitated importance repurposing already approved drugs using methods. This study aimed at unveiling benefits techniques a potential alternative compounds’ drug discovery for therapy. Relevant articles from PubMed, Google Scholar, Web Science were retrieved analyzed. Furthermore, this comprehensively reviewed literature containing identified essential proteins. Notably, hesperidin, quercetin, kaempferol, myricetin, flavonoids hepatitis surface antigen (HBsAg). investigation reveals offer understanding mechanisms action, reveal previously overlooked viral targets (including PreS1 Domain HBsAg cccDNA (Covalently Closed Circular DNA) regulators, facilitate creation specific inhibitors. integration silico, vitro, vivo insights further highlight Moreover, combination compounds, approach, improves chances personalized precision medicine treatment. Abstract Background Ocimum gratissimum and Vernonia amygdalina are used in traditional medicine for their various biological properties, but few studies have assessed antioxidant anticoccidial capacities toxicity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the capacity, activity (against Eimeria magna media), phytochemical content toxicity leaves extracts from two plants. Methodology: Aqueous acetonic both plants were prepared analysed polyphenol, flavonoid tannin contents. Antioxidant measured via DPPH method. effects increasing concentrations tested on Eimeria oocysts sporozoites. Toxicity by mortality tests Artemia salina larvae clinical rats. Result results show that V. greater than those O. gratissimum. acetone presented lower EC50 values (2.4025 ± 0.0385) 3.541 0.112 amygdalina) did aqueous extracts. With respect anti-ocyst activity, inhibited sporulation E. up 91% at 40 mg/mL (p˂0.05). revealed not toxic salina. No major histological changes observed. significant properties nontoxic applications. Conclusion This shows possess with superior efficacy amygdalina. These potential as natural alternatives management coccidiosis farm animals, helping reduce use synthetic antiparasitics promote sustainable agricultural practices. Further long-term application livestock farming required.
