Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) root extract has been used as a natural medicine and sweetener for long time in many parts of the world. As result, there considerable emphasis on developing efficient environmentally friendly methods extracting bioactive components from root. This work aims to examine using combined ultrasonic-cold plasma reactor elevate extraction efficiency. Different parameters, including time, ultrasonic power, argon-to-air ratio, were investigated Response Surface Methodology (RSM) Box-Behnken design raise quality. The total phenol flavonoid content antioxidant activity calculated evaluate this approach, Glycyrrhizic acid was quantified by HPLC (High-performance liquid chromatography). Results showed that combining greatly raised yield compared conventional maceration single-method methods.
