Beehives can accumulate environmental contaminants as bees gather pollen, propolis, and water from their surroundings, contaminating hive products like honey. Moreover, in multifloral environments, interact with plants treated different pesticides, often causing higher pesticides concentrations multi-floral honey than mono-floral varieties. Glyphosate glufosinate are both widely used herbicides. accounted for one-third of herbicide sales Europe 2017 continues to raise health concerns, including its potential carcinogenicity. While the European Commission extended glyphosate's authorisation another 10 years 2023, concerns remain about impact on biodiversity human health. This study aimed monitor presence glyphosate, glufosinate, metabolites 100 samples representing Italian production by analysis using IC-HRMS. Results indicated that 12% contained glyphosate residues ranging > LOQ 45 ng g

Abstract Despite continuous efforts to control mosquito populations and disease vectors, they remain prevalent globally pose significant health risks. Botanicals have garnered increasing attention as alternatives synthetic insecticides due their broad‐spectrum insecticidal properties, biodegradability, environmental compatibility. This study aimed evaluate the larvicidal efficacy of Solanum incanum Soxhlet extracts using various solvents. Additionally, we conducted a phytochemical analysis methanol gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) performed molecular docking studies. The extract S. demonstrated activity, with LC 50 values 266.75, 214.52, 90.15 μg/mL at 24, 48, 72 hours post‐treatment, respectively. GC–MS identified several compounds in extract, trans‐9‐Octadecenoic acid, pentyl ester (17.99%) propanoic 2‐(3‐acetoxy‐4,4,14‐trimethylandrost‐8‐en‐17‐yl) (14.42%) being most abundant. exhibited highest phenolic content, 1.44 mg GAE/g. IC50 for DPPH assay were 1.69 mg/mL ethyl acetate 6.7 extract. Furthermore, supported findings, emerging top compound all targets tested, including AChE (−9.4 kcal/mol), GABA‐T (−8 ATPase (−7.9 kcal/mol). These results provide valuable insights into potential application development bioinsecticides.

Abstract Application of plant extracts and plant-based formulations is one the sustainable methods for management resistant ticks thus managing tick-borne diseases. In present study, we comprehensively analyzed research papers based on acaricidal activity extracts. A meta-analysis was conducted with an aim to highlight potential candidates further development ecofriendly anti-tick herbal formulations. total 52 were up until December 2023, sourced from extensive searches databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct Google Scholar, focusing various plants against tick species. The belonging Annonaceae Burseraceae families found significantly effective ticks. Amongst species, Rhipicephalus microplus highly studied species followed by Haemaphysalis bispinosa Hyalomma dromedarii . most responsive Ambylomma cajannense With respect parts used, leaf (45%) extensively utilized while prepared resin, stem fruit peel showed highest activity. study highlighted significant variability in effectiveness depending type extractant, tested. These findings emphasize need develop a Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) evaluating phytocompounds. Future should prioritize isolating active compounds, elucidating their mechanisms action, optimizing ensure strategies.

Pesticides are very important in modern agriculture, protecting crops against pests and diseases to ensure food safety. However, the use of pesticides production has raised significant concerns regarding their potential impacts on human health environment. This review provides comprehensive insights into current status, future projections, debates surrounding food. Beginning with a historical overview pesticide types commonly used presence residues commodities explored. The environmental associated exposure examined, including both effects ecological consequences. An analysis regulatory frameworks governing management at international national levels is presented, along emerging trends projections technologies agricultural practices. Strategies for mitigating risks, such as Integrated Pest Management alternative approaches conventional use, discussed. Finally, controversies public perception, consumer concerns, policy debates, addressed. Through critical examination these issues, this underscores growing need innovative solutions that can effectively balance demands environment, enabling more resilient sustainable production.

In this work, OP- and OC-degrading bacteria were isolated from agricultural soil samples taken in the department of Bolivar, Colombia. The objective research was to degrade organochlorine organophosphorus pesticides using bacterial colonies native soils. Two samples, which showed a higher degree adaptation media contaminated with pesticide mixtures. They identified by biochemical tests BBL Crystal kits, and, subsequently, their 16S rDNA sequenced PCR technique. Bacterial growth studied OD index, taking absorbance readings on UV-VIS spectrophotometer at 600 nm, 0.5 McFarland scale, quantification degradation GC–MS. Bacillus cereus Paenibacillus lautus. B. isolates exposed OPs malathion, chlorpyrifos, coumaphos [80 mg·L−1], degrading rates 52.4%, 78.8% 79.5%, respectively, after 12 days incubation liquid medium pH = 7.0 ± 0.2 37 °C. Furthermore, P. lautus OCs lindane, metolachlor, endrin, p,p′-DDT mg·L−1] degraded 64.0%, 60.8%, 55.7% 65.1% under same conditions temperature, pH, time. These results show that might be useful for cleaning up environments have been polluted OCs.
