The negative association between the growth mindset and mental health problems suggests that prevention intervention programs to improve by targeting may have potential clinical value. However, research on longitudinal effect of adolescent its underlying mechanisms is lacking. Using a three-wave design, we obtained data from diverse sample Chinese adolescents (n = 2543). Longitudinal multiple mediation models were constructed examine effects levels anxiety depression two years later. In addition, mediating smartphone use for entertainment problematic (PSU) examined. While previous cross-sectional studies have suggested a link between psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) and internet addiction (IA), longitudinal evidence remains scarce. This study aimed to explore the prospective relationship IA PLEs among college students. A total of 636 students (80 % female) were assessed in November 2022 again one year later. was measured using Internet Addiction Diagnosis Questionnaire (IADQ), with 16-item Prodromal (PQ-16). Demographic, psychological, environmental factors collected controlled. Multiple logistic regression cross-lagged panel analyses examined associations PLEs. At baseline, prevalence 11.3 16.8 %, respectively. Higher baseline IADQ scores (Adjusted odds ratio = 1.035; 95 confidence interval 1.002-1.069; p 0.036) independently associated an increased risk at follow-up, while PQ-16 not linked later IA. The mean age was 13.56 (SD: 1.46) years. differences in anxiety 1, 2, not statistically significant. proportion with quality increased over time, from 1 (21.0%) (26.0%, OR = 1.37, 95% CI 1.17–1.60, P 0.001) (21.9%) (OR 1.29, 1.11–1.51, < 0.001). cross-lagged generalized linear mixed models revealed that concurrent across three waves significant ( 0.05) vice versa. Only a marginally positive association found (standardized β estimate 0.044, SE 0.022, 0.045). Sleep adversely affected COVID-19, bidirectional could be neglected.

Symptoms of emotional regulation disorders, such as those related to anxiety are one the main challenges public among young people. This study validated Spanish Generalized Anxiety Disorder Assessment-7 (GAD-7) scores in a representative sample adolescents. A total 2235 students (M = 14.49 years; SD 1.76; 52.9 % women), selected by stratified random sampling from 34 schools, participated survey. The unidimensional model GAD-7 showed adequate goodness-of-fit indices. Scalar measurement invariance was found gender and age. reliability score 0.90. positively associated with symptoms depression, negative affect, behavioral problems, negatively positive affect quality life. Second, self-reports were used assess all psychological indicators, their known limitations. Finally, cross-sectional nature this means impossible draw conclusions about causal relationships. brief, easy, reliable tool for assessing self-reported educational contexts. can be screening early detection monitoring during adolescence.

The mental health burden among adolescents has been increasing, impacting individuals even before formal diagnosis of common disorders. Although personality traits, as key indicators conditions, play a crucial role in the development disorders, there is gap regarding trait-to-symptom pathways and similarities differences between young adults. A total 860 1751 adults participated this study. Chinese Big Five Personality Inventory assessed while depression anxiety symptoms were measured using Patient Health Questionnaire-9 Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, respectively. Network analysis computed bridging centrality traits elucidated pathways. Furthermore, network comparison was applied to compare structure In both age groups, neuroticism exhibited transdiagnostic activating effect on anxiety. Conscientiousness demonstrated strongest protective against depression, whereas agreeableness most samples, primarily influenced associated with negative emotions thoughts. Comparatively, extraversion significant increasing throughout adolescence, increasingly activated symptoms. This study highlights potential utilize for early detection precise intervention adolescent populations, providing actionable insights. By identifying level neuroticism, we can effectively detect high-risk prior diagnosis. delineating neuroticism-to-symptom pathways, implement targeted their pathological interactions.
