The object of this study is to examine the effects a short-term intensive-type Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) intervention prevent internet addiction among Chinese college students. We conducted randomized controlled trial applying group counseling program based on CBT. Data included 21 participants in and 22 control group. results showed that reduced students’ symptoms procrastination improved their sense coherence. Regarding sustained effect, decreased perceived social support from significant others However, did not significantly reduce average daily use time psychological stress. Overall, developed CBT theory, which complementary for students with addiction.

Abstract Digital disconnection has emerged as a concept describing the actions people take to limit their digital connectivity enhance well-being. To date, evidence on its effectiveness is mixed, leading calls for greater consideration of why, how, when, and whom works. This article responds these calls, presenting framework that differentiates four key harms contribute experiences ill-being (time displacement, interference, role blurring, exposure effects). Using starting point, explains: (1) why are motivated digitally disconnect; (2) how specific strategies (i.e., placing limits time, access, channels, contents, interactions features) may help them; (3) under which conditions (when) can be effective.

Physical activity is associated with social network site addiction in adolescents, yet the mechanisms remain unclear. This study examines whether anxiety and ego-depletion mediate this relationship. A survey was conducted among 1,174 Chinese adolescents (614 boys, 560 girls; mean age = 12.59, SD 1.13). assessed a single item on moderate-to-vigorous exercise past 7 days. Social addiction, anxiety, were measured using validated self-report questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, chained mediation model employed. negatively correlated (r -0.165, p < 0.001), -0.121, -0.119, 0.001). Anxiety positively 0.574, 0.001) 0.388, Ego-depletion 0.456, sequentially mediated relationship between physical addiction. clarifies psychological linking identifying as key mediators. The findings emphasize need to target these factors for more effective interventions.

Problematic Internet use (PIU) has begun to be linked the development of certain eating disorders. This uncontrolled is mainly found in student population. The purposes this paper were determine PIU-related disorders students from a systematic review literature and analyze incidence PIU through meta-analysis literature. We used two electronic databases (Web Science Scopus) inception June 2019. was based on fixed inclusion exclusion criteria. A total 12 studies identified (systematic review) 10 for meta-analysis, which included 16,520 students. Different associated with PIU: anorexia nervosa, bulimia binge-eating disorder, food preoccupation, loss control eating, dieting. Furthermore, confirmed that predictor groups presented higher rate presence disorders, these differences being significant. Finally, study showed empirical evidence link between need prevention childhood adolescence highlighted.

Although academic stress is a well-known risk factor for students' depression, little known about the possible psychological mechanisms underlying this association. With the increase in number of internet users, problems associated with excessive use have become increasingly obvious. Exercise as an alternative or auxiliary intervention for addiction has drawn much attention recently, but its neurobiological mechanisms are not completely understood. Here we reviewed exercise-based interventions against by searching research literature such keywords "exercise", "internet addiction"," hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis", "neurotrophin", and "dopamine". This review summarizes advances our understanding processes through which exercise can reduce addiction, analysis strengthens idea that be effective this regard. The available evidence suggests levels neurotrophic factors, cortisol, neurotransmitters; improve morphology specific parts central nervous system, stimulating hippocampal neurogenesis; protect autonomic system; control reward urge.
