Objective. To investigate the effects of 12‐week physical exercise (jogging, basketball, and outdoor training) on sleep quality, harmful mood, heart rate variability (HRV) in college students with Internet addiction. Methods . 46 addiction were chosen then randomly assigned to group (IA, n = 23) (IA+EX, 23). The subjects IA+EX underwent for 12 weeks (three times per week), IA did not perform regular during experiment. Then, degree addiction, depression, quality evaluated by using Young’s Addiction Test (IAT) scale, Center Epidemiologic Studies Depression (CES‐D) Pittsburgh index (PSQI); HRV measured Polar Team 2 before after intervention. Results (1) After exercise, compared preexercise intervention, scores IAT, CES‐D, PSQI significantly decreased ( t 12.183, 9.238, 5.660; P < 0.01) group; group, 2.449, 3.175, 4.487; 0.05, <0.01) (2) LFn ratio LF/HF 5.650, 3.493; HFn increased −2.491, 0.05) there no significant differences above indexes experiment > 0.05). Compared 3.616, 2.099, addiction; was difference between two groups. Conclusion Long‐term could reduce improve balance sympathetic parasympathetic function indicating that exercise‐based intervention might be an effective way alleviate or even eliminate

The purposes this paper were determine PIU-related disorders students from a systematic review literature and analyze incidence PIU through meta-analysis literature. We used two electronic databases (Web Science Scopus) inception June 2019. was based on fixed inclusion exclusion criteria. A total 12 studies identified (systematic review) 10 for meta-analysis, which included 16,520 students. Different associated with PIU: anorexia nervosa, bulimia binge-eating disorder, food preoccupation, loss control eating, dieting. Furthermore, confirmed that predictor groups presented higher rate presence disorders, these differences being significant. Finally, study showed empirical evidence link between need prevention childhood adolescence highlighted.

To date, evidence on its effectiveness is mixed, leading calls for greater consideration of why, how, when, and whom works. This article responds these calls, presenting framework that differentiates four key harms contribute experiences ill-being (time displacement, interference, role blurring, exposure effects). Using starting point, explains: (1) why are motivated digitally disconnect; (2) how specific strategies (i.e., placing limits time, access, channels, contents, interactions features) may help them; (3) under which conditions (when) can be effective.

Exercise as an alternative or auxiliary intervention for addiction has drawn much attention recently, but its neurobiological mechanisms are not completely understood. Here we reviewed exercise-based interventions against by searching research literature such keywords "exercise", "internet addiction"," hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis", "neurotrophin", and "dopamine". This review summarizes advances our understanding processes through which exercise can reduce addiction, analysis strengthens idea that be effective this regard. Abstract Rationale As a result of concerns about predominantly online behavioral addictions, an increasing number systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRMA) treatment interventions for internet use disorders (IUD) are being recorded. This review was designed to (a) systematically identify the evidence base SRMA (b) critically appraise quality reporting according Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Methods Four databases were searched until August 2022 SRMA. PRISMA indicators evaluated on three-level response format obtain overall score operationalizing (score range: 0–84). Additionally, percentage adherence calculated. Results 23 SRMA, comprising 12 11 evaluated. Quality scores ranged from 25 77 (M: 52.91; SD: 17.46). critical appraisal revealed deviations indicators, including missing information registration study protocol, statistical synthesis methods (c) evaluation certainty evidence, (d) risk bias assessment. Eleven (47.83%) SRMAs partially adhered, twelve (52.17%) completely adhered indicators. Conclusion first IUD highlights limitations base. Inadequate compromises practical utility validity may complicate ongoing efforts consensus evidence-based IUD. Future research should focus sufficient transparent methodological approach.
