During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, health care workers (HCWs) have faced multiple physical and psychological challenges while carrying out their duties. In this study, we examined experiences of specific groups HCWs during pandemic.From 18 November to 30 December 2020, conducted a qualitative study using semi-structured, face-to-face interviews with four 14 in three cities (Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju) South Korea. The who participated focus included physicians, nurses, medical practitioners, cleaning staff directly or indirectly cared for patients COVID-19 epidemic. Interviews were transcribed verbatim analyzed consensual research approach.Our data analysis revealed main domains: work-related struggles, personal life-related stress, health-related struggles. Health providers challenged by working critical situations overwhelmed heavy workloads, fear infection, lifestyle changes, struggles.Our findings could serve as foundation establishing systems policies that help cope occupational thus increasing ability adapt ongoing pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic represents a traumatic event that has profoundly changed working conditions with detrimental consequences for workers' health, in particular the healthcare population directly involved addressing emergency. Nevertheless, previous research demonstrated experiences can also lead to positive reactions, stimulating resilience and feelings of growth. aim this narrative review is investigate aspects associated possible health prevention promotion strategies by analyzing available scientific evidence. Background: The global healthcare system is continuing to confront major challenges during the current COVID-19 pandemic, with second wave deadliest one date. Abstract Background COVID-19 has challenged health systems worldwide, especially the workforce, a pillar crucial for resilience. Therefore, strengthening system resilience can be informed by analyzing care workers’ (HCWs) experiences and needs during pandemics. Aim To understand the experiences of hospital nurse managers and assistant during COVID-19 pandemic in United States. Background Little research has been published about pandemic. Methods Thirteen managers, seven six were interviewed their using audio–video teleconferencing a semi-structured interview guide. Abstract Aim This study aims to explore the lived experiences of frontline nurses providing nursing care for COVID‐19 patients in Qatar. Design Qualitative, Phenomenological. Methods Nurses were recruited from a designated facility using purposive and snowball sampling. The participants interviewed face‐to‐face semi‐structured interview questions 6 September–10 October 2020. interviews transcribed analyzed Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Result A total 30 interviewed; (76.7%) deployed >6 months. Three major themes drawn analysis: (a) Challenges working (subthemes: new context environment, worn out by workload, struggle wearing protective gear, fear COVID‐19, witnessing suffering); (b) Surviving keeping it safe with extra measures, change eating habits, teamwork camaraderie, social support); (c) Resilience true calling, sense purpose).

Stigmatization from work-related COVID-19 exposure has not been investigated in detail yet. Therefore, we systematically searched three databases: Medline, Embase, and PsychInfo (until October 2020), performed a grey literature search February 2021). We identified 46 suitable articles 24 quantitative 11 qualitative studies, 6 systematic reviews, 3 study protocols 1 intervention. The assessment of stigmatization varied widely, ranging single-item question to 22-item questionnaire. Studies mostly considered perceived self-stigma (27 35 original studies) healthcare workers (HCWs) or hospital-related jobs (29 35). All reported on as result exposure. However, most studies were characterized by convenience sampling (17 24), all studies-also those with an adequate design-were low methodological quality. it is possible determine prevalence defined occupational groups. Nevertheless, the groups without suspected contact relevant problem increases risk for depression (odds ratio (OR) = 1.74; 95% confidence interval CI 1.29-2.36) anxiety (OR 1.75; 1.29-2.37). For promoting workers' health, anti-stigma strategies support should be implemented workplace.

The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects perceived health status (PHS) and organizational support (POS) in association between emotional labor burnout public nurses (PHNs). participants were 207 PHNs convenience sampled from 30 centers offices Jeju, Korea. Data regarding labor, PHS, POS, collected February March 2021 using a structured questionnaire. Collected data analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient multiple regression analysis. Burnout positively correlated with (r = 0.64, p < 0.001) negatively PHS -0.51, POS 0.001). In burnout, (B -1.36, -0.42, had partial effect. Reduction among requires not only effective management but also personal efforts improve POS.

BackgroundLong-term care facilities across Canada have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe experiences of frontline workers and leaders involved in outbreak management these facilities, identify best practices, provide recommendations for improvement.MethodsThis is a qualitative using key informant, semi-structured interviews. Key informants were defined as individuals with direct experience managing outbreaks long-term care. Background Front-line nurses have played a critical role during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. A number of qualitative studies reported front-line nurses' experiences and needs in caring for patients with COVID-19. However, application evidence from single study to guide clinical practice has limitations. This aimed explore COVID-19 pandemic through meta-synthesis. Methods Seven databases were searched 1 December 20 January 2022, including PubMed, Web Science, Cochrane register, CINAHL, PsycINFO, MedRxiv, bioRxiv. The quality included was appraised using Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) research appraisal tool. Meta-synthesis used synthesize data studies. Results total 70 included, five synthesized findings developed: (1) Although actively devoted themselves fighting against COVID-19, considering their professional responsibility historical previous experience mankind, they not invulnerable; (2) There various difficulties challenges fear related providing care, shortage protective equipment manpower, negative attitude family members; (3) Facing challenges, could only partly cope by mixed means overcome those, media, learning, gaining skills, responding together, organizational assistance; (4) To better respond pandemic, should be paid attention to.
