Abstract Background Migraine as a prevalent primary headache disorder affects mainly the young population. Migraines worsen quality of life and are responsible for main cause disability worldwide. Apart from well-known lifestyle factors, spread digitalization seems to influence frequency well severity migraine attacks, however clinical studies still lacking. Here we present prospective single-center cross-sectional study focusing on possible negative effects being online problematic internet use during attacks taking many covariates into account. Methods patients were recruited Headache Outpatient Clinic Department Neurology, University Szeged, Hungary. Socio-demographic data, medical history migraine, details activities recorded questionnaires addiction. Results A total 192 ( n = 166 female; 26 male) completed questionnaire package. After setup logistic regression among socio-demographic data age > 45 years (odds ratio, OR 1.101), married (OR 1.584), number children 2 1.227), secondary employment 2.349), while related only nighttime 1.330) was significantly associated with attacks. Conclusion This is first unfavorable in patients. Clinicians should be aware effect potential non-pharmacological aspect treatment.

Purpose This study aimed to examine the antecedents, correlates, and consequences of burnout among higher education faculty in Saudi Arabia using theoretical framework job demands-resources model. Design/methodology/approach Using a quantitative research design, cross-sectional survey was employed collect data from members across multiple universities. The constructs were measured validated scales, analysis included exploratory factor analysis, Pearson correlation factorial ANOVA, regression. Findings identified moderate levels burnout, confirming significant positive relationship with role conflict negative internal locus control. Burnout significantly contributed depression, insomnia, turnover intentions. However, no found between workplace when controlling for other variables. Research limitations/implications study's findings can inform policymakers academic administrators about measures alleviate thus contributing healthier work environments aligned Arabia's Vision 2030 goals. Originality/value extends model within context institutions Arabia, offering nuanced insights into dynamics university this region. Despite model's robustness, absence signals need more intricate understanding burnout's antecedents consequences.

This study examined the prevalence of addictive Internet behavior and its links with mental health among pre-service teachers in Ghana. A descriptive, correlational design was employed 405 from colleges education a public university Ghana participating this study. The sample completed sociodemographic survey about loneliness, life satisfaction, depression, self-esteem, addiction scales (abridged form). results revealed that there significant relationship between teachers’ addiction, loneliness; however, depression least influential factor use. Additionally, statistically nexus satisfaction. In addition, all above-mentioned variables were discovered to explain 56.3% absolute variance Internet. Among linked dimensions, loneliness appeared be most significant. Institutional coping programs should established within scope administration, supporting health. Finally, development awareness campaigns on menaces associated usage through extracurricular is recommended.

The proliferation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within educational spheres has undeniably enriched pedagogical practices through the integration digital tools. Despite these advancements, escalating use ICT devices harbors potential for internet addiction among educators. This systematic review scrutinizes prevalence, symptomatology, predictive indicators in teaching profession, addition to examining its association with physical psychological well-being. Employing a methodical approach aligned PRISMA guidelines, an analysis 15 rigorously selected scholarly articles, sourced from Web Science Google Scholar, was conducted. findings reveal prevalence rate educators ranging 5.2% 35%, pinpointing specific behaviors that may predispose individuals higher risks. Given paucity research pertaining teachers, corpus articles ultimately incorporated into this study constrained. However, implications are multifaceted, highlighting critical need targeted interventions ameliorate detrimental effects on educators, thereby fostering more conducive learning environment.

Abstract Background Burnout syndrome attributable to cumulative stressors is highly prevalent among teachers. Despite this, knowledge of burnout schoolteachers in lower-middle-income countries are limited, therefore we aimed investigate self-reported occupational and associated factors Nepal. Methods A survey was conducted randomly selected 37 community schools Kathmandu, Nepal 2022, with a total sample 218 (70% male). Occupational assessed using the Nepali version validated Maslach Inventory (MBI-ES). MBI-ES consists 22 items assessing burnout, which were classified into emotional exhaustion (EE, 9 items, score range: 0–45), depersonalization (DP, 5 0–23), personal accomplishment (PA, 8 items; 3–48). The greater EE DP lower PA indicate higher level burnout. Various socio-demographic, lifestyle, work-related examined as determinants ANOVA multivariable linear regression models. Results mean scores EE, DP, 14.99 (Standard Deviation, SD = 9.79), 4.18 (SD 4.57), 42.11 6.82) respectively. Poor/moderate work ability contributed poorer ratings all three dimensions. Teaching special needs students whereas low physical activity alcohol intake only. Younger age, being married, language teaching, having disability, sub-optimal fitness, poor sleep quality, ever smoking Conclusion relatively high. Marital status, lifestyle behavioral, especially workability strong determinant Clinical trial registration number NCT05626543.

Abstract Background Burnout is usually defined as a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion that affects people in various professions (e.g. physicians, nurses, teachers). The consequences burnout involve decreased motivation, productivity, overall diminished well-being. machine learning-based prediction has therefore become the focus recent research. In this study, aim was to detect using learning identify its most important predictors sample Hungarian high-school teachers. Methods final consisted 1,576 teachers (522 male), who completed survey including sociodemographic health-related questions psychological questionnaires. Specifically, depression, insomnia, internet habits when why one uses internet) problematic usage were among tested study. Supervised classification algorithms trained assessed by two well-known Feature selection conducted recursive feature elimination. Hyperparameters tuned via grid search with 10-fold cross-validation. Due class imbalance, weights (i.e. cost-sensitive learning), downsampling hybrid method (SMOTE-ENN) applied separate analyses. model evaluation carried out on previously unseen holdout test sample. Results detected 19.7% included dataset. best predictive performance achieved random forest weigths (AUC = 0.811; balanced accuracy 0.745, sensitivity 0.765; specificity 0.726). Beck’s Depression Inventory scores, Athen’s Insomnia Scale subscales Problematic Internet Use Questionnaire self-reported current health status. Conclusions performances comparable previous studies; however, it note we our models samples suggesting higher levels generalizability. Another remarkable finding besides depression other variables such use time spent online also turned be burnout.
