The impact of internet use on quality life (QoL) has become an increasing focus academic research. This paper aims to explore the internal influencing mechanisms (i.e., leisure-oriented (LIU); work-oriented (WIU)) QoL, with a multiple mediating effects risk perception and addiction. We constructed theoretical framework from psychological perspective tested hypotheses using hierarchical regression analysis sample 1535 participants. results showed that: (1) LIU had positive effect while WIU did not have significant QoL; (2) both addiction negative influence (3) positively impacted addiction; (4) relationship between QoL.

Introduction The extensive availability of the internet has led to recognition problematic usage (PUI) or so called addiction (IA), probably mostly involving adolescents. Aim Here we present a study focusing on incidence and consequences (including burnout, which is relatively rarely studied) among high school students using questionnaire-based non-random sampling cross-sectional survey. Included questionnaires were Problematic Internet Use Questionnaire, Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey for Students MBI-GS (S), 9-item short version Beck Depression (BDI-SF), Athens Insomnia Questionnaire EQ-5D (quality life) questionnaire. Data evaluated exertion Student’s t -test, chi square test Pearson’s rank-order correlation. Logistic regression analysis was used determine significance different parameters as independently associated with PUI. Results Overall 3,000 paper-based successfully delivered 2,540 responses received (response rate 84.6%). 1,309 males (mean age 17.6 ± 1.43 years) (51.5%) 1,231 females 17.5 1.4 (48.5%) took part in our study. detected 486 (19.1%) (232 males, mean 1.35 years 254 females, 17.34 1.37 years). In logistic sleep disturbance (OR: 1.84, 95% CI: 1.83–2.03), depression 1.97, 1.77–2.02) burnout 1.8, 1.16–1.94) significantly Conclusion Nearly one fifth population suffered from PUI, strongly insomnia depression, underlines importance this phenomenon.

This study examined the prevalence of addictive Internet behavior and its links with mental health among pre-service teachers in Ghana. A descriptive, correlational design was employed 405 from colleges education a public university Ghana participating this study. The sample completed sociodemographic survey about loneliness, life satisfaction, depression, self-esteem, addiction scales (abridged form). results revealed that there significant relationship between teachers’ addiction, loneliness; however, depression least influential factor use. Additionally, statistically nexus satisfaction. In addition, all above-mentioned variables were discovered to explain 56.3% absolute variance Internet. Among linked dimensions, loneliness appeared be most significant. Institutional coping programs should established within scope administration, supporting health. Finally, development awareness campaigns on menaces associated usage through extracurricular is recommended.

The proliferation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within educational spheres has undeniably enriched pedagogical practices through the integration digital tools. Despite these advancements, escalating use ICT devices harbors potential for internet addiction among educators. This systematic review scrutinizes prevalence, symptomatology, predictive indicators in teaching profession, addition to examining its association with physical psychological well-being. Employing a methodical approach aligned PRISMA guidelines, an analysis 15 rigorously selected scholarly articles, sourced from Web Science Google Scholar, was conducted. findings reveal prevalence rate educators ranging 5.2% 35%, pinpointing specific behaviors that may predispose individuals higher risks. Given paucity research pertaining teachers, corpus articles ultimately incorporated into this study constrained. However, implications are multifaceted, highlighting critical need targeted interventions ameliorate detrimental effects on educators, thereby fostering more conducive learning environment.

Abstract Background Burnout syndrome attributable to cumulative stressors is highly prevalent among teachers. Despite this, knowledge of burnout schoolteachers in lower-middle-income countries are limited, therefore we aimed investigate self-reported occupational and associated factors Nepal. Methods A survey was conducted randomly selected 37 community schools Kathmandu, Nepal 2022, with a total sample 218 (70% male). Occupational assessed using the Nepali version validated Maslach Inventory (MBI-ES). MBI-ES consists 22 items assessing burnout, which were classified into emotional exhaustion (EE, 9 items, score range: 0–45), depersonalization (DP, 5 0–23), personal accomplishment (PA, 8 items; 3–48). The greater EE DP lower PA indicate higher level burnout. Various socio-demographic, lifestyle, work-related examined as determinants ANOVA multivariable linear regression models. Results mean scores EE, DP, 14.99 (Standard Deviation, SD = 9.79), 4.18 (SD 4.57), 42.11 6.82) respectively. Poor/moderate work ability contributed poorer ratings all three dimensions. Teaching special needs students whereas low physical activity alcohol intake only. Younger age, being married, language teaching, having disability, sub-optimal fitness, poor sleep quality, ever smoking Conclusion relatively high. Marital status, lifestyle behavioral, especially workability strong determinant Clinical trial registration number NCT05626543.

Abstract Background Burnout is usually defined as a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion that affects people in various professions (e.g. physicians, nurses, teachers). The consequences burnout involve decreased motivation, productivity, overall diminished well-being. machine learning-based prediction has therefore become the focus recent research. In this study, aim was to detect using learning identify its most important predictors sample Hungarian high-school teachers. Methods final consisted 1,576 teachers (522 male), who completed survey including sociodemographic health-related questions psychological questionnaires. Specifically, depression, insomnia, internet habits when why one uses internet) problematic usage were among tested study. Supervised classification algorithms trained assessed by two well-known Feature selection conducted recursive feature elimination. Hyperparameters tuned via grid search with 10-fold cross-validation. Due class imbalance, weights (i.e. cost-sensitive learning), downsampling hybrid method (SMOTE-ENN) applied separate analyses. model evaluation carried out on previously unseen holdout test sample. Results detected 19.7% included dataset. best predictive performance achieved random forest weigths (AUC = 0.811; balanced accuracy 0.745, sensitivity 0.765; specificity 0.726). Beck’s Depression Inventory scores, Athen’s Insomnia Scale subscales Problematic Internet Use Questionnaire self-reported current health status. Conclusions performances comparable previous studies; however, it note we our models samples suggesting higher levels generalizability. Another remarkable finding besides depression other variables such use time spent online also turned be burnout.
