Background and Objective The second victim (SV) phenomenon concerns health care workers (HCWs) whose involvement in a medical error, as well non-error patient safety events, has affected their well-being. Abstract Aims To examine the relationship between second victim distress and outcome variables, specifically: ‘turnover intentions, absenteeism resilience’. Furthermore, this study also assessed how organizational support mediates variables. Design Cross‐sectional survey. Methods A cross‐sectional survey using regression mediation analysis with bootstrapping was conducted among ( n = 149) healthcare professionals in two university hospitals Finland from September 2022 to April 2023 during different time periods. The Finnish version of revised Second Victim Experience Support Tool (FI‐SVEST‐R) used assess distress, level related outcomes. ABSTRACT Purpose The aim of the study was to explore impact patient safety culture on nurses' negative work outcomes resulting from incidents, as well mediating roles second victim support and distress. Design A cross‐sectional survey conducted. participants included 208 nurses, each with over a year clinical experience, working in hospitals across South Korea. Methods Data were collected through self‐reported questionnaires general characteristics, culture, distress, outcomes. data analyzed using descriptive statistics, t ‐test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients. Aim: To investigate the current status of experience and support nurses as second victims explore its related factors in nurses. Design: A sequential, explanatory, mixed-method study was applied. Methods: total 406 from seven tertiary hospitals China were chosen participants between September to October 2023. The Chinese version Second Victim Experience Support Questionnaire (SVEST), Somatic Complaints Sub-health Status (SCSSQ) Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) applied collect quantitative data. Eight selected for a qualitative through in-depth interviews. Through interpretive phenomenological analysis, interview data analysed victims. Results: Practice distress (15.74 ± 4.97) psychological (15.48 3.74) highest dimensions, indicating experienced victim-related practice distress. Nurses with different gender, age, education, marital status, income, working hours, professional titles, unit types have levels ( p < 0.05).
