Participating in research on aversive topics can produce discomfort. However, the affective consequences of taking part hedonic are unknown. Positive psychology interventions (PPIs) harness personal strengths, values, beliefs, and emotions to promote optimal functioning. A growing body evidence suggests they be effective addressing a range mental health conditions promoting well-being. Resilience pertains to an individual’s ability withstand, adapt, and recuperate from adversity stress. As the world grapples with unprecedented challenges such as COVID-19 pandemic, understanding relationship between resilience psychological well-being becomes essential. Preliminary observations suggest that those a higher tend have better well-being, indicating possible symbiotic two. This study was structured using cross-sectional survey design. A convenience sampling technique employed, including 631 respondents in South Africa. Data collection took place June 11 July 9, 2022, facilitated through Google Forms questionnaire. questionnaire encompassed various instruments, namely biographical questionnaire, CD-RISC 10, WHO Well-being Index, FACIT-Sp-12, PMHS. Abstract Background:Subjective well-being (SWB) is a culturally-dependent and context-driven concept; It thus varies widely across- within cultures. Therefore, cross-cultural validation studies are crucial to prove that the measure covers transcultural components of construct subjective, can be used for comparison purposes in international multicenter research. In this regard, we aimed perform cross-country Arabic version WHO 5-item Well-Being Index (WHO-5) terms factor structure, composite reliability, cross-gender measurement invariance, concurrent validity by calculating Pearson correlation coefficients between WHO-5 measures depression, anxiety, stress, suicidal ideation insomnia.Method:We carried-out cross-sectional, web-based study among total 3247 young adults (aged 18-35 years) fromsix Arab countries (i.e., Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco Kuwait). Results:We found mean scores varied significantly across countries, ranging from 32.2 ± 22.72 Egypt 44.2 26.84 Morocco. Confirmatory Factor Analyses showed fit one-factor model data proved acceptable all six countries. addition, yielded high reliability samples each (McDonald’s ω = 0.92-0.96) both genders. Results multi-group analyses demonstrated configural, metric, scalar invariance was supported gender sample country. As validity, strong significant inverse with depression scores. Negative correlations have also been different symptoms mental health problems (anxiety, ideation, insomnia) our sample. Conclusion:By verifying WHO-5, opens its wider application epidemiologically explore SWB Arabic-speaking community broad geographic areas.
