The fear of Happiness Scale (FHS) was developed assess aversion toward happiness. This study aims the psychometric properties Arabic version FHS in a sample Lebanese population. Methods: translated following conventional forward-backward translation procedure administered 484 adults along with Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), WHO-5 Well-Being Index (WHO-5), Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-5) for convergent validity. factor structure studied by confirmatory analysis (CFA). Results: Results suggested good fit one-factor model internal consistency (ω = .95 / α .95) excellent (= .80). Measurement invariance established across sex groups, no significant difference being reported between males females terms scores (13.27 ± 7.52 vs 13.36 7.04; t(482) -.12; p .904). Finally, adequate validity tested found be adequate, correlated negatively wellbeing positively depression anxiety. Conclusion: Fear is valuable tool researchers clinicians working Arabic-speaking populations. It anticipated will advantageous healthcare professionals around world.

No epidemiological data is yet available on Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) in Arab countries, which may part be due to the lack of measures Arabic language. This constitutes a major obstacle further progress our understanding nature, aetiology, course, treatment, and prevention ARFID, especially as some evidence suggested that ARFID vary across cultures food environments. We aimed contribute literature eating disorders field by examining psychometric properties an translation Nine Item Screen (NIAS).This was cross-sectional, web-based study. A total 515 Lebanese community adults (mean age 27.55 ± 10.92 years, 69.9% females) participated. The forward-backward method adopted translate NIAS from English Arabic.Confirmatory Factor Analyses provided for adequate fit indices three-factor model (i.e., Picky eating, Fear, Appetite) 9-item version NIAS. An reliability achieved, with McDonald's ω ranging .75 .90 score all three subscores. Multi-group analyses demonstrated measurement invariance sex (males vs. weight groups (underweight/healthy [BMI ≤ 25] overweight/obese > 25]) at configural, metric, scalar levels. Adequate patterns correlations between disordered symptoms, psychological distress well-being were seen. In particular, fear significantly associated non-ARFID symptoms. Appetite but not inversely correlated well-being. All subscores positively distress.Findings short, valid reliable self-report measure screen light these findings, we recommend its use clinical research purposes among Arabic-speaking adults.Avoidant/restrictive intake disorder characterized avoidance or dietary restriction least one four consequences––weight loss, nutritional deficiency, supplement dependence, and/or psychosocial impairment. (NIAS) developed screening detect symptoms has nine items subscales map onto each presentation. have been translated into multiple languages validated Arabic. Anxiety and depression are psychiatric disorders that often coexist share some features. Developing a simple cost-effective tool to assess anxiety in the Arabic-speaking population, predominantly residing low- middle-income nations where research can be arduous, would immensely beneficial. The study aimed translate four-item composite Patient Health Questionnaire – 4 (PHQ-4) into Arabic evaluate its psychometric properties, including internal reliability, sex invariance, correlation with measures of psychological distress. 587 adults were recruited between February March 2023. An anonymous self-administered Google Forms link was distributed via social media networks. We utilized FACTOR software explore factor structure PHQ-4. Confirmatory analysis (CFA) indicated fit two-factor model PHQ-4 scores modest (χ2/df = .13/1 .13, RMSEA .001, SRMR .002, CFI 1.005, TLI 1.000). Internal reliability excellent (McDonald's omega .86; Cronbach's alpha .86). Indices suggested configural, metric, scalar invariance supported across sex. No significant difference found males females terms total scores, scores. score significantly moderately-to-strongly associated lower wellbeing higher Depression Stress Scale (DASS) subscales proves reliable, valid, for assessing symptoms related anxiety. Introduction: The well-being of populations is crucial for understanding nations’ public health and progress. With its ongoing transformation development objectives, Saudi Arabia emphasizes residents’ quality life well-being. Recent surveys indicators have underlined the nation’s focus on enhancing population Aim: This study aimed to assess overall level living in using WHO-5 index self-rated (SRH) metrics. Subject methods: cross-sectional was conducted among thirty-nine thousand five hundred sixty-two people from general Arabia, citizens residents, including all adult age groups (>18 years) both genders. A self-administered questionnaire sent an online survey. includes socio-demographic characteristics, five-item Well-Being Index (WHO-5), status. Results: Based SRH, 77.4% were considered a healthy group. Male gender participants who had better education more likely report favorable SRH. According WHO-5, poor seen 26% population, rest good (74%). Independent predictors include increasing educational being unemployed. Interestingly, we found positive significant correlation between SRH scores (r = 0.371; p < 0.001). Conclusions: Poor common population. risk factors female nationality, while age, male gender, higher More longitudinal studies are needed extract data this growing prevalence

Eastern Mediterranean countries, particularly Lebanon, have seen a significant rise in mental disorders, primarily driven by ongoing economic instability, political unrest, and regional conflicts. These conditions fuel feelings of unsafety, which are linked to lower psychological well-being increased depressive symptoms. Abstract Background Despite the high clinical relevance of perfectionism construct as a transdiagnostic contributor to different mental health symptoms, and recent burgeoning research in this area across cultures past two decades, Arab region was one cultural settings experiencing slowest progress line research. This study aimed make meaningful contribution literature by validating an Arabic-language version 16-item Big Three Perfectionism Scale–Short Form (BTPS-SF). In particular, we sought examine structure concurrent validity, internal consistency, measurement invariance gender groups. Method A web-based, convenience sampling method adopted collect sample Arabic-speaking adults from general population Lebanon (N = 515; aged 27.55 ± 10.92 years; 69.9% females). The forward-backward applied translating Arabic BTPS-SF. Results examination structure, using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), demonstrated that three-factor model (i.e., rigid, self-critical, narcissistic perfectionism) fitted well data. All three factors BTPS-SF yielded excellent reliability estimates, with both Cronbach’s alpha McDonald’s omega ranging 0.83 0.86. Multi-group CFA revealed fit indices showed no significant difference at configural, metric, scalar levels, thus suggesting factor loadings, pattern item intercepts are invariant Finally, subscales scores correlated positively psychological distress depression, stress anxiety), inversely subjective well-being, indicating acceptable validity. Conclusion present findings allow us conclude permits capture reliably validly main perfectionism. We hope providing psychometrically sound scale will encourage its large use not only empirical research, but also applications, including screening treatment monitoring.

Lebanese adolescents aged between 14 18 years (N = 793, mean age 16.08 ± 1.74 years, 62.4% females) were recruited using online questionnaire snowball sampling technique. Results Confirmatory Factor Analysis indicated that fit three-factor model CPS scores satisfactory: χ2/df 131.31/51 2.58, RMSEA .045 (90% CI .035, .054), SRMR .034, CFI .976, TLI .969. Internal reliability excellent (ω .87; α .86). Measurement invariance across sex groups established at configural, metric, scalar levels. No significant difference found males females terms (37.20 7.93 vs 37.76 7.92, t(791) − .97, p .334). total score significantly associated with lower irritability (r .66; < .001), higher wellbeing .51; .001) depression-happiness .43; thus attesting good concurrent validity. Conclusion Findings suggest version reliable valid tool which capture sense among adolescents.
