Abstract Background and Aims Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are an important health problem, the Covid‐19 pandemic affected several lifestyle aspects worldwide, including moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity (MVPA), sedentary behavior (SB) sleep time, which compose 24‐h movement guidelines (24‐hMG). It is unclear whether meeting 24‐hMG during have been associated with MSD in adult population this study aimed to analyze association of spinal undergraduate students pandemic. Methods A sample 71 were assessed (24.0 ± 6.6 years, 52% women). MVPA was by accelerometer, while daily time SB questionnaires. Spinal Nordic questionnaire. Logistic regression models analyzed (individually combined) MSD, independently age, sex, body mass index. Results 78.9% sample. Only 11.3% fully met 24‐hMG. Participants who did not meet both more likely low back (OR:3.45, p = 0.049) spine (OR:3.78, 0.048) even after multiple adjustment. Otherwise, guideline inversely upper (OR:0.22, 0.012). Conclusion Meeting differently where combination shows be protective against spine. However, determinants between higher still needs investigated.

Introduction Bruxism, often triggered by stress, induces temporomandibular alterations, increasing muscle activity and affecting dental occlusion. Prevalence of musculoskeletal conditions related to stress is higher in women, with craneo-cervical affectation being frequently reported. Moreover, some authors explore the relationship between disorders postural alteration, trunk complex. This study aims evaluate differences abdominal morphology women without bruxism Spain, and, secondarily, effects voluntary teeth grinding activation. Methodology An observational analytical cross-sectional was conducted 44 Spanish (diagnosed = 22, non-bruxism 22). To ensure corroborate absence from control group, Clinical Based Assesment questionnaire used. Ultrasound measures Transverse Abdominal, External Oblique Internal oblique were recorded during rest grinding. Results Grinding associated changes thickness both groups, statistically significant values for all studied muscles. Bruxism group showed muscles compared Non-Bruxism group. Significant left transverse found groups resting condition. Further analysis using linear regression indicated that (t -2.03, p 0.049) BMI 3.13, 0.003) significantly thickness, acting as a confounding factor. Age not predictor (p 0.506), suggesting its limited role this context. Conclusion The results support existence an association wall structure emphasizes importance considering evaluation function.

Abstract Introduction Some of the conditions affected by COVID-19 pandemic were Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and bruxism. The present study compares effect on TMD bruxism (sleep awake) in three time periods: before (pre-COV), during (during-COV) after subsided (post-COVR). Material Methods A total 587 adult patients (108 pre-COV group, 180 during-COV group 252 post-COVR group) who arrived for a routine dental treatment between October 2018 January 2023 evaluated according to Axis I diagnosis Diagnostic Criteria (DC/TMD). Each patient received DC/TMD as follows: (i) Painful (defined presence at least one following - local myalgia, myofascial pain with referral, arthralgia or headache attributed TMD); (ii) Non painful disc displacement with/without reduction, degenerative joint disorders and/or dislocation), (iii) Possible sleep (SB) (iv) awake (AB). Statistical methods Logistic regression analyses conducted establish impact gender prospects TMD, non-painful SB AB. Dental wear arises from mechanical (attrition or abrasion) and chemical (erosion) factors. Despite its prevalence clinical significance, accurately measuring understanding causes remain challenging in everyday practice. This one-year study with 39 participants involved comprehensive examinations full-arch intraoral scans at the start after 12 months. Volume loss exceeding 100 µ on each tooth's surfaces (buccal, lingual/palatine incisal/occlusal) was measured by comparing three-dimensional both time points. also assessed factors such as abrasion erosion through exams questionnaires. There were no significant differences dental sleep bruxism. However, noticeable occurred front teeth of those waking bruxism joint-related symptoms. Increased associated frequent consumption acidic drinks, regular swimming, dry mouth, nocturnal drooling heartburn, while found patients reflux. The used methodology proved effective assessing progression wear, which is important many may initially be asymptomatic. variability observed patterns underscores need to develop specific software applications that allow immediate efficient comparison areas based extensive analysis patient databases.
