ABSTRACT Background School‐based physical activity (PA) programs are an equitable, evidence‐based approach to combat health and PA disparities. This study examined factors associated with implementation of BE Physically Active 2Day (BEPA 2.0), a K‐5 school‐based program, how support from Cooperative Extension via Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP‐Ed) partners influenced implementation. Methods Teachers in schools receiving BEPA 2.0 trainings were surveyed about program use 3–6 months post‐training. Descriptive chi‐square analyses conducted evaluate the relationships between (e.g., training, support, barriers) delivery. Logistic regression was used summarize odds delivery related factors. Findings Responses returned by 355 teachers. The among trained respondents 2.64 (1.22, 5.47) times untrained respondents. Most implementors (72.4%) provided activities 1–2 times/week. More frequent (≥ 3 times/week) [OR = 2.43 (1.27, 4.73)] fewer barriers reported those who received SNAP‐Ed ( p 0.01). Implications for School Health Policy, Practice, Equity partnerships should be considered when implementing strategies increase opportunities vulnerable youth. Conclusions High teachers enhanced partner support.

The WISH Study was peer-led, school-based walking intervention that aimed to increase levels of adolescent girls. This study uses the RE-AIM Framework present process evaluation with focus on factors affected participation, motivation, and enjoyment intervention. Pupils (n589 12–14 years) were recruited from 18 schools border region Ireland Northern Ireland. In (n9), older pupils (15–18 trained as walk leaders led (12–14 brisk walks (10–15 min) during school day, across year (2021-22). Questionnaires measure self-efficacy activity, health-related quality life reasons engaging administered throughout At end groups held pupils, interviews conducted teachers leaders. Attendance at monitored by Quantitative data analysed descriptively, qualitative analysis undertaken using thematic analysis. Themes reported under indicators (reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, maintenance). (n286) representative girls Ireland, terms their level. baseline, 15% these met recommended guidelines 60 min moderate-vigorous per measured accelerometers. total number ranged 2 104 schools. One quarter (n74, 26%) never attended (n23) did not lead walk. self-reported improvements health, mental well-being, social relationships, gaining transferrable skills. Implementation aided support some schools, although barriers such COVID-19, lack time, harsh weather, inadequate facilities indoor walks, leader availability, identified. Staff engagement key driver maintenance walks. Despite promising feasibility comprehensive training programme, extent which adopted implemented varied, suggesting future interventions need consider individual contexts ensure fidelity. : The COVID-19 pandemic has led to reduced physical activity and increased sedentary behaviors, negatively impacting mental health. Engaging in at home during quarantine became essential counteracting these adverse effects. To develop appropriate programs, assessing individuals' fitness levels the impact of inactivity is crucial. This study aims compare motor abilities-including flexibility, balance, reaction time, cardiovascular endurance, lower upper limb strength-assessed both in-person remotely, determine accuracy repeatability self-administered tests.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in reduced opportunities for children to engage fundamental motor skills [FMS]. This prolonged inactivity and restriction play can have serious consequences children's physical mental health. purpose this study was explore teaching strategies during pandemic, whether there were differences development, implementation movement courses before from perspective preschool teachers. a retrospective using an internet survey, participants comprised 2337 statistical methodology included descriptive statistics, dependent t-test, independent t-test. results showed that regardless time, frequency, activity intensity, frequency outdoor courses, better than those taken pandemic. Only "frequency implementing indoors every week" had not been affected by also obtained performance "children's fitness", "overall ability", "stability skills", "locomotor "manipulative skills". All During mixed-age classes performed same-age terms course implementation, fitness. Public schools private performance. Private implemented week, which more public schools. Introduction Obesity and metabolic syndrome (MetS) have immediate long-term consequences on adolescent health well-being. Among the available treatments for MetS in adolescents, behavioral interventions such as increasing physical activity (PA) are preferred. This study aimed to investigate association of PA sitting time with a complete set parameters. Methods Data from Pediatric Brazilian Metabolic Syndrome Study (BRAMS-P), cross-sectional multicenter conducted using convenience sample 448 adolescents (10y–19y), were used. Sociodemographic lifestyle information collected standardized questionnaire. Daily estimated International Questionnaire. Anthropometric parameters, body composition, blood pressure measured by trained researchers. Blood lipids, uric acid, hepatic enzymes, creatinine, glycated hemoglobin, glucose, insulin fasting samples, Homeostasis Model Assessment Insulin Resistance was calculated. A subsample 57 underwent hyperglycemic clamp protocol. Results The odds higher among who spent >8h (OR (95%CI)=2.11 (1.02 – 4.38)), but not those classified active (95%CI)=0.98 (0.42 2.26)). Adolescents more had BMI, waist circumference, sagittal abdominal diameter, neck percentage fat, worse lipid profile. sensitivity index moderately positively correlated moderate-to-high minutes per day (rho=0.29; p=0.047). Conclusion Time associated parameters must be restricted favor health. Regular is improved may encouraged only obesity or disorders also prevent adverse outcomes normal-weight adolescents.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the preferred methods stress coping among both physically active and inactive students. Methods: A total 497 students from various educational stages, including primary schools (PS), level 1 vocational (VS1), secondary (VS2) comprehensive (CSS), ages ranged 14 17 years participated in study. Data collected through a standardized questionnaire (How do you cope?) (HDC) an original survey questionnaire. Nonparametric statistics were applied analyses results. Results: Intergroup comparisons dispositional strategy with show that people exercising ≤15 minutes (15;30] focused on emotions (DFE) seek social support (DSSS) more often compared those ≥60 one day (DFE: P< .01, .05; DSSS: .05, respectively). Situational management (SSM) used by who exercised for (30;60) passive (PP) ones (P< .05). PP students, day, (SFE) .05) situational search (SSSS) . 05). In strategy, we observed positive moderate correlations (statistically significant PS SFE (R= .36) VS1 SSM .37). VS2 CSS displayed adapted response situation .26; R= 35, respectively), .34; .32, SSSS .27; .26, Conclusions: To reduce stress, it appears essential educate children adolescents strategies promote enhance their capacity incorporate regular physical activity into daily routines.
