Abstract Purpose: This study aims to identify current social determinants of health (SDOH) and healthcare access barriers impacting outcomes among Latina, Latinx, Latino (Latina/x/o) sexual gender minority (SGM) individuals. Methods: We conducted cross-sectional surveys 521 Latina/x/o adults with a focus on SGM individuals from November 2022 June 2023 in Cook County, IL. recruited using media groups person community venues geared towards and/or Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender/Questioning (LGBTQ+) examined associations between demographic predictors SDOH (housing, food, job insecurity) or (insurance status, primary care, time since last provider visit) multivariable logistic regression. Results: Respondents included 68.8% (n=329) individuals, whom 48.6% (n=157) identified as gay lesbian, 42.7% (n=138) bisexual, pansexual, queer, 15.8% (n=48) transgender. Across identities, our population had high burden housing insecurity (n=286, 56.9%), food (n=177, 35.3%), (n=90, 27.8%). There were also proportion uninsured (n=120, 25.2%) people who not seen the year (n=188, 36.2%). Conclusion: Public interventions policy reform are urgently needed address that drive disparities for diverse within populations.

Background: Food security and access to healthcare are crucial determinants of health, but their impact on chronic disease risk among forcibly displaced populations is understudied. This study delves into the relationship between food security, accessibility services, Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Methods: Drawing from a nationally representative cross-sectional survey, this research investigates how availability food, facilities, utilization services likelihood diseases within marginalized population. Using survey collated UNHCR 2020 Joint Multi-Sector Needs Assessment we deployed series multivariate logistic regression models examine proximity, disease, sociodemographic characteristics. Results: significantly decreased (OR = 0.65, 95% CI: 0.43, 0.98). Living far facilities increased 1.63, 1.03, 2.54). Conclusion: study's findings underscore urgent need for targeted interventions aimed at enhancing improving alleviate burden refugees. Migrants constitute a vulnerable segment of the population, particularly susceptible to various health challenges. Despite this, limited research has delved into comparative statuses migrants and non-migrants in rising elderly population. This study aims bridge this gap by exploring disparities between these two groups. Leveraging data from nationally representative, large-scale Longitudinal Ageing Study India (LASI) survey (n = 29002; 3103 25899 Non-migrants), focuses on four indicators: self-rated (SRH), depression, multimorbidity, functional limitations. The undertakes descriptive bivariate analyses for migrant non-migrant groups employs propensity score matching techniques fulfil its objectives. findings reveal that respective populations, prevalence poor-SRH was 24.04 % 16.29 %; depression 12.32 6.62 multimorbidity 26.78 15.71 %, limitation 28.35 23.13 %. uncovers 2.4 percentage point increase poor health, 1.0 rise notably, 4.2 elevation limitations among relative non-migrants. Evident outcomes is stark disparity, emphasising migrants' heightened vulnerability across multiple dimensions. implication highlights necessity policy interventions aimed at eliminating inequalities populations.

Introduction Food insecurity is a global priority that has been found to negatively impact mental health, increasing the risk of disorders and severe illness. International migrants may face food throughout their migratory cycle due range factors, such as poor transit conditions, precarious employment, financial pressure, discrimination, lack availability access culturally relevant food, among others. Although there are multiple reviews on migration, insecurity, health in general, no scoping review conducted international focusing health. Objective To investigate available evidence migrants. Methods A search scientific literature English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese published since 2013 will be performed Web Science, PubMed, Medline, APA PsycArticles, Cinahl, ASSIA databases, including grey Google Scholar. Two authors independently titles, abstracts, full texts before extracting data from publications complying with eligibility criteria. Extracted descriptively mapped according emerging thematic categories. Expected results The contribute identifying what known about gaps literature, opportunities for specific research subtopics, how can linked existing literature.

Food insecurity has been linked to adverse health outcomes, particularly among vulnerable populations such as refugees. The aim of this study was assess the prevalence food and its association with depression, anxiety, stress resettled Syrian refugee parents in Ontario. This a cross-sectional total 540 who resided Ontario for an average four years had at least one child less than 18 were interviewed. Information about collected based on question “During past year, did you ever eat because there not enough or money food?”. Levels assessed using Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21). Multiple linear regression analyses performed evaluate relationship between after adjusting sociodemographic, migration-, health-related factors. 44.6% respondents reported experiencing insecurity. Of participants, 7.6%, 8.9%, 8.5% severe extremely levels stress, respectively. Results multiple analysis showed that significantly associated higher depression (Adjβ = 2.00, p 0.008), anxiety 1.53, 0.013), 1.87, 0.019). Implementation effective government interventions frameworks are essential reduce refugees ultimately improve their mental outcomes overall well-being.
