Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is characterized by the concurrence of multiple metabolic disorders resulting in increased risk a variety diseases related to disrupted metabolism homeostasis. The prevalence MetS has reached pandemic level worldwide. In recent years, extensive amount data have been generated throughout research targeted or condition with techniques including high-throughput screening and artificial intelligence, these "big data", prevention could be pushed an earlier stage different source, mining tools analytic at levels. this review we briefly summarize advances study data" applications three-level disease for MetS, illustrate how technologies contribute tobetter preventive strategies.

The definition of metabolic syndrome (MetS) has undergone several changes over the years due to difficulty in establishing universal criteria for it. Underlying disorders related MetS is almost invariably a pro-inflammatory state altered glucose metabolism, which could lead elevated cardiovascular risk. Indeed, complications closely are diseases (CVDs) and type 2 diabetes (T2D). It been observed that predisposition modulated by complex interactions between human microbiota, genetic factors, diet. This review provides summary last decade literature three principal aspects MetS: (i) syndrome’s classification, pathophysiology, treatment approaches; (ii) prediction diagnosis underlying biomarkers identified means advanced methodologies (NMR, LC/GC-MS, LC, LC-MS); (iii) role foods food components prevention and/or MetS, demonstrating possible specific intake development MetS.

Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) have been considered a global health problem, characterized as diseases of multiple factors, which are developed throughout life, and regardless genetics risk factor important relevance, the increase in mortality attributed to disease environmental factors lifestyle one leads. Although reactive species (ROS/RNS) necessary for several physiological processes, their overproduction is directly related pathogenesis aggravation NCDs. In contrast, dietary polyphenols widely associated with minimizing oxidative stress inflammation. addition antioxidant power, also drawn attention being able modulate both gene expression modify epigenetic alterations, suggesting an essential involvement prevention and/or development some pathologies. Therefore, this review briefly explained mechanisms NCDs, followed by summary evidence interaction stress, well modulation involved management

Given the global increase in air pollution and its crucial role human health, as well steep rise prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS), a better understanding underlying mechanisms by which environmental may influence MetS is imperative. Exposure to known impact DNA methylation, turn affect health. This paper comprehensively reviews evidence for hypothesis that effect on mediated methylation blood. First, we present summary dysregulation, including components MetS, i.e., disorders blood glucose, lipid profile, pressure, obesity. Then, provide relation between endothelial dysfunction one possible mechanism MetS. Subsequently, review (PM, ozone, NO

In people with obesity, diabetes, and hypertension, lipid glucose metabolism oxidative stress generation interact. This condition, known as a “metabolic syndrome” (MetS), presents global challenge appears to be the underlying mechanism for development of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). review is designed based on evidence indicating pathogenic mechanisms MetS. detail, we will look at induction in MetS, effects elevated levels condition’s pathophysiology, matters related endothelial function. According different components MetS pathophysiological network, antioxidants dysfunction are reviewed. After considering strategic role pathophysiology its associated CVDs, management by antioxidant supplementation seems an appropriate therapeutic approach.

Abstract This review aimed to systematically quantify the differences in Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) prevalence across various ethnic groups high-income countries by sex, and evaluate overall trends from 1996 2022. We conducted a systematic literature using MEDLINE, Web of Science Core Collection, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, focusing on studies about MetS among countries. pooled 23 that used NCEP-ATP III criteria included 147,756 healthy participants aged 18 above. calculated estimates 95% confidence intervals (CI) both fixed-effect random-effect intercept logistic regression models. Data were analysed for 3 periods: 1996–2005, 2006–2009, 2010–2021. The countries, based criteria, was 27.4% over studied period, showing an increase 24.2% 1996–2005 31.9% 2010–2021, with men women having similar rates. When stratified ethnicity minority experienced highest at 31.7%, while majority had lowest 22.7%. Notably, more prevalent than men. Among minorities, higher men, difference Asians (about 15 percentage points). women, (41.2%) Blacks/Africans (26.7%). it indigenous (34.3%) (19.8%). is increasing alarming rate particularly women. burden could be effectively reduced tailoring interventions according variations risk profiles.

The metabolic syndrome (MS) is a multifactorial associated with significant economic burden and healthcare costs. MS management often requires multiple treatments (polydrug) to ameliorate conditions such as diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). However, various therapeutics possible drug-drug interactions may also increase the risk of by altering lipid glucose metabolism promoting weight gain. In addition, medications cause side effects nausea, flatulence, bloating, insomnia, restlessness, asthenia, palpitations, cardiac arrhythmias, dizziness, blurred vision. Therefore, important identify develop new safe effective agents based on multi-target approach treat manage MS. Natural products, curcumin, have multi-modalities simultaneously target several factors involved in development This review discusses recent preclinical clinical findings, up-to-date meta-analysis from Randomized Controlled Trials regarding curcumin MS, well metabonomics pharma-metabolomics outlook considering metabolites, gut microbiome, environment for complementary personalized prevention treatment management.

Disulfiram and hydralazine have recently been reported to anti-cancer action, repositioned be used as adjuvant in cancer therapy. Chemotherapy combined with other medications, such those that affect the immune system or epigenetic cell profile, can overcome resistance fewer adverse effects compared chemotherapy alone. In present study, a combination of doxorubicin (DOX) hydrazine (Hyd) disulfiram (Dis), triple treatment, was evaluated against wild-type DOX-resistant MCF-7 breast line. Both line (MCF-7_WT) (MCF-7_DoxR) were treated different ratios DOX, Dis, Hyd followed by measuring viability using MTT assay. Synergism determined index, isobologram analysis, dose-reducing index. The anti-proliferation activity mechanism investigated apoptosis analysis. results showed reduction IC 50 values DOX MCF-7_WT cells (from 0.24 μM 0.012 μM) MCF-7_DoxR 1.13 0.44 when Dis (0.03μM), (20μM) combination. Moreover, DOX/Hyd/Dis induced significant both synergistic drugs decrease dose needed kill enhanced chemosensitivity DOX.
