Nutraceuticals act as cellular and functional modulators, contributing to the homeostasis of physiological processes. In an inflammatory microenvironment, these foods can interact with immune system by modulating or balancing exacerbated proinflammatory response. this process, cells, such antigen-presenting cells (APCs), identify danger signals and, after interacting T lymphocytes, induce a specific effector Moreover, conditions their change state phenotypical modifications from resting activated state, supposing increase in energy requirements that affect intracellular metabolism, each cell showing unique metabolic signature. Thus, nutraceuticals, polyphenols, vitamins, fatty acids, sulforaphane, represent active option use therapeutically for health prevention different pathologies, including obesity, syndrome, diabetes. To regulate inflammation associated intervention pathways through modulation nutraceuticals is attractive strategy allows inducing important changes properties. we provide overview link between function, chronic processes obesity diabetes, paying particular attention nutritional effects on APC immunometabolism, well mechanisms required energetic involved activation.
