The respiratory system is a well-organized multicellular organ, and disruption of cellular homeostasis or abnormal tissue repair caused by genetic deficiency exposure to risk factors lead life-threatening pulmonary disease including idiopathic fibrosis (IPF). Although there no clear etiology as the name reflected, its pathological progress closely related uncoordinated molecular signals. Here, we review advances in our understanding role lung cells IPF pathology epithelial cells, mesenchymal stem fibroblasts, immune endothelial cells. Abstract Pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic progressive interstitial lung disease caused by variety of etiologies. The can eventually lead to irreversible damage the tissue structure, severely affecting respiratory function and posing serious threat human health. Currently, glucocorticoids immunosuppressants are main drugs used in clinical treatment pulmonary fibrosis, but their efficacy limited they cause adverse effects. Traditional Chinese medicines have important research value potential for application anti-pulmonary fibrosis. In recent years, more scientific researches been conducted on use traditional medicine improve or reduce some breakthroughs made. Atractylodes lancea is widely distributed in East Asia, ranging from Amur to south-central China. The rhizome of A. commonly used traditional Chinese medicine, however, the quality products varies across different regions with geochemical characteristics.This study aimed identify chemotypes areas and screen for chemical markers by quantifying volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a targeted metabolomics approach based on GC-MS/MS.The Hubei, Anhui, Shaanxi, region west Henan province was classified as Hubei Chemotype (HBA). HBA characterized high content β-eudesmol hinesol lower levels atractylodin atractylon. In contrast, Maoshan (MA) Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, other northern regions, exhibited A total 15 categories VOCs metabolites were detected identified, revealing significant differences profiles terpenoid, heterocyclic compound, ester, ketone among areas. Abstract Targeting lung cancer stem cells (LC-SCs) for metastasis may be an effective strategy against cancer. This study is the first on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) properties of boric acid (BA) in LC-SCs. LC-SCs were isolated using magnetic cell sorting (MACS) method. Secondary lymphedema occurs after cancer surgery involving lymph node dissection owing to the lymphatic system dysfunction. However, pathophysiology of and molecular pathways involved remain unknown. This study aimed develop a rat hindlimb model investigate mechanisms that drive effects traditional Japanese medicine goreisan on lymphedema. The was induced by combination surgeries popliteal dissection, skin cautery incision, fascial ablation coagulation in right using male Wistar rats. foot volume significantly increased, recovery delayed surgeries. Dermal thickness dilated vessels were observed postoperative day 2. number infiltrating leukocytes (CD45+ cells), including CD4+ T-cells, increased group compared with sham group. relative mRNA expression protein levels interleukin-6 (IL-6), CC chemokine ligand 2 (CCL2), transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), Fms-related receptor tyrosine kinase 4 (FLT4) higher than Foot decreased goreisan, furosemide, prednisolone treatments. Goreisan diminished increase same trend for CCL2 FLT4 expression. In conclusion, this exhibited volume, skin-infiltrating cells, pathological changes accompanied inflammatory fibrotic responses, suggesting presented significant clinical features may exert therapeutic effect inhibiting T-cell infiltration.
