The present research focuses on the physicochemical and pharmacotechnical properties of new hydrogels obtained using allantoin, xanthan gum, salicylic acid different concentrations Aloe vera (5, 10, 20% w/v in solution; 38, 56, 71 wt% dry gels). thermal behavior composite was studied DSC TG/DTG analyses. chemical structure investigated characterization methods (XRD, FTIR Raman spectroscopies) morphology SEM AFM microscopy. Pharmacotechnical evaluation tensile strength elongation, moisture content, swelling spreadability also completed. Physical confirmed that appearance prepared based homogeneous color varied from pale beige to deep opaque with increasing concentration. All other parameters, e.g., pH, viscosity, consistency were found be adequate all hydrogel formulations. images show condensed into polymeric solids addition vera, accordance decrease peak intensities observed via XRD analysis. These results suggest interactions between matrix as Considering content higher than 10% (w/v) did not stimulate further interactions, this formulation (FA-10) can used for biomedical applications.

Phototherapeutic agent-based phototherapies activated by light have proven to be safe modalities for the treatment of various malignant tumor indications. The two main include photothermal therapy, which causes localized thermal damage target lesions, and photodynamic chemical generated reactive oxygen species (ROS). Conventional suffer a major shortcoming in their clinical application due phototoxicity, primarily arises from uncontrolled distribution phototherapeutic agents vivo. For successful antitumor phototherapy, it is essential ensure generation heat or ROS specifically occurs at site. To minimize reverse side effects phototherapy while improving its therapeutic performance, extensive research has focused on developing hydrogel-based treatment. utilization hydrogels as drug carriers allows sustained delivery sites, thereby limiting adverse effects. Herein, we summarize recent advancements design offer comprehensive overview latest advances combination with other treatment, discuss current status phototherapy.

Biopolymers represent a great resource for the development and utilization of new functional materials due to their particular advantages such as biocompatibility, biodegradability non-toxicity. “Intelligent gels” sensitive different stimuli (temperature, pH, ionic strength) have applications in many industries (e.g., pharmacy, biomedicine, food). This review summarizes research efforts presented patent non-patent literature. A discussion was conducted regarding biopolymer-based hydrogels natural proteins (i.e., fibrin, silk fibroin, collagen, keratin, gelatin) polysaccharides chitosan, hyaluronic acid, cellulose, carrageenan, alginate). In this analysis, latest advances modification characterization advanced biopolymeric formulations state-of-the-art administration drug delivery, wound healing, tissue engineering regenerative medicine were addressed.
