BACKGROUNDEpidemiological studies suggest that the maternal diet quality during pregnancy may influence risk of neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring. Here we investigated associations between intake dietary fiber and ADHD symptoms early childhood.METHODSWe used longitudinal data up to 21,852 mother-father-child trios (49.2% females) from Norwegian Mother, Father, Child Cohort Study. The relationships offspring at ages three, five, eight years were examined using: a) multivariate regression (overall levels symptoms), b) latent class analysis (subclasses by sex each age), c) growth curves (longitudinal change symptoms). Covariates polygenic scores child parents, total energy energy-adjusted sugar intake, parental birth child, socio-demographic factors.RESULTS: Higher prenatal was associated with lower symptom all (βage3=-0.14(95%CI -0.18, -0.10); βage5=-0.14(-0.19, -0.09); βage8=-0.14(-0.20, -0.09)). Of derived low/middle/high subclasses symptoms, belonging middle subclass for boys girls, high girls only (middle: ORboys 0.91(0.86-0.97)/ORgirls 0.86 (0.81-0.91); ORgirls 0.82 (0.72-0.94)). Maternal rate across not associated.CONCLUSIONSA low increase childhood, independently genetic predisposition ADHD, unhealthy exposures, factors.

Abstract Background The gut‐brain axis, i.e. the bidirectional communication system between gut and brain, has become of central importance in Parkinson disease (PD) research over past 20 years. Aims We aimed to describe milestones axis PD development theories proposing involvement gastrointestinal tract pathogenesis. Methods searched PubMed using terms ‘gut‐brain axis’ AND ‘Parkinson disease’, selected relevant articles provide foundation for reconstructing an historical overview PD. Results Mounting evidence from preclinical, clinical post‐mortem studies suggests that a subgroup patients present with range prodromal symptoms (e.g., autonomic dysfunction, rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder) which reflect initial accumulation later spread pathological α‐synuclein rostrally (“body‐first” PD). Through neural connections along may producing clinically manifest disease. Recently, two mechanisms involving have attracted increasing attention their role pathogenesis progression, namely perturbation composition microorganisms living (the microbiome), dysfunction enteroendocrine cells. Conclusion Treatments targeting especially microbiome cells pathway, could potentially slow progression or even prevent onset. Among these, pre/probiotics, faecal microbiota transplantation, glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists, entered advanced stages trials humans shown potential symptomatic disease‐modifying effects.

The pathogenesis of non-organic anorexia in children is not clear. This study intends to analyze intestinal bacteria provide a relevant theoretical basis for the clinical rational selection microecological agents. In present study, with were included group and normal healthy control group. Stool samples collected bioinformatics analysis after PCR high-throughput sequencing. results showed that Ace, Chao, Shannon indexes higher than those group, while Simpson index was lower There 14 taxa 11 at phylum level, 193 180 genus level. dominant level two groups same, there 16 17 ratio percentage abundance Bacteroidetes Firmicutes (the B/F index) Actinomycetes significant differences genera between classification LEfSe multilevel species difference influential bacterial Actinobacteria At Bacteroides, Faecalibacterium, Subdoligranulum, Bifidobacterium, Blautia, Streptococcus, Lachnoclostridium, Erysipelatoclostridium We conclude increase Bacteroides or reduction Bifidobacterium related anorexia.

Multiple sclerosis (MS), a distinct autoimmune neuroinflammatory disorder, affects millions of people worldwide, including Saudi Arabia. Changes in the gut microbiome are linked to development neuroinflammation via mechanisms that not fully understood. Prebiotics and probiotics camel milk has been fermented have variety health benefits. In this study, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens-supplemented (BASY) was used assess its preventive effect on MS symptoms myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG)-immunized C57BL6J mice model. To end, MOG-induced experimental encephalomyelitis (EAE) established level disease index, pathological scores, anti-inflammatory markers BASY-treated using macroscopic microscopic examinations, qPCR immunoblot were investigated. The results demonstrate BASY significantly reduced EAE increased total microbial load (2.5 fold), improved levels short-chain fatty acids propionic, butyric caproic diseased group. Additionally, myeloperoxidase (MPO) proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, TNF-α) (TGF-β) regulated by treatment. Significant suppression MPO VCAM noticed group (from 168 111 µM from 34 27 pg/mL, respectively), comparison treatment expression inflammatory cytokines, progression related transcripts, protein markers. conclusion, may be develop probiotic-based diet promote host health. cumulative findings study confirm significant neuroprotection They could also suggest novel approach MS-associated disorders.

Background: The gut microbiome plays a crucial role in human health, and recent research has highlighted its potential impact on ocular health through the gut–eye axis. Dysbiosis, or an imbalance microbiota, been implicated various diseases. Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted using relevant keywords major electronic databases, prioritizing peer-reviewed articles published English. Results: microbiota influences immune modulation, maintenance of blood–retinal barrier, production beneficial metabolites. Dysbiosis can disrupt these mechanisms, contributing to inflammation, tissue damage, disease progression conditions such as uveitis, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, glaucoma. Therapeutic modulation probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, fecal transplantation shows promise preclinical preliminary studies. Conclusions: axis represents dynamic complex interplay between health. Targeting innovative therapeutic strategies holds for improving prevention management
