Yersinia pseudotuberculosis (Yptb) causes intestinal infection and can spread to the liver, where bacterium induces hemosiderosis, abscesses, hepatitis. To evade immune response of host organism, Yptb expresses at least six plasmid-encoded outer proteins belonging Type III secretion system, which suppress phagocytic activity. Recently, evidence has accumulated that chromosome-encoded protein toxins are also involved in anti-phagocytic defense Yptb. Most these have been found isolates from patients with Far East scarlet-like fever, often accompanied by liver pathology. contribute bacterial colonization lymphoid organs through their effects on cells. A thorough understanding immunomodulatory toxic dissemination will development novel approaches cure hepatic pathology during infection. The review aimed summarize current data mechanisms plasmid- liver. highlights fine-tuning system activity encoded both a 70-kb plasmid chromosomes, various action individual interactions. focus is promote survival macrophages, including those facilitate bacterial-induced macrophage polarization towards M2 phenotype. role type phagocyte death discussed.
