Presurgical Virtual Planning and Intraoperative Navigation with 3D-Preformed Mesh: A New Protocol for Primary Orbital Fracture Reconstruction

Purpose:
This
pilot
study
aims
to
evaluate
the
feasibility
and
effectiveness
of
computer-assisted
surgery
protocol
with
3D-preformed
orbital
titanium
mesh
(3D-POTM),
using
presurgical
virtual
planning
intraoperative
navigation
in
primary
inferomedial
fracture
reconstruction.
Methods:
Between
March
2021

undergoing

3D-POTM

Abstract
Objectives
The
purpose
of
this
study
was
to
do
a
retrospective
analysis
patients
with
zygomatic
fractures
who
were
treated
at
the
Department
Maxillofacial
Surgery,
Regional
University
Hospital
Perugia,
Italy,
between
2016
and
2023.
Materials
Methods
Patients
evaluated
based
on
various
parameters
including
age,
sex,
aetiology,
symptoms,
comorbidity,
clinical
findings,
fracture
type,
other
facial
fractures,
treatment,
waiting
time
before
operation,
complications
sequelae.

we
had

cases
requiring
surgical
intervention.
