Abstract Polymer structures are essential in biomedical applications due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, and ability form intricate on micro‐ nanometer scales. This review, emphasizing electrospinning phase inversion techniques, examines the fabrication strategies chemical design of polymer for use. Electrospinning, particularly needleless electrospinning, produces nanofibres with high porosity flexibility is widely applied tissue engineering drug delivery. Phase inversion, including thermal, nonsolvent‐, vapor‐ evaporation‐induced separation, allows precise control over properties but faces challenges terms cooling rates solvent characteristics. Shape-memory polymers (SMPs) possess unique properties that respond to external stimuli. The current review discusses types of SMPs, fabrication methods, and the characterization their mechanical, thermal, shape recovery properties. Research suggests SMP composites, when infused with fillers, demonstrate enhanced mechanical thermal characteristics. On other hand, blends, particularly incorporating polylactic acid (PLA), exhibit most efficient recovery. Furthermore, crosslinking density in polymer blends impacts force, showcasing a correlation between energy storage capacity force networks.
